One direc� on. One goal. End poverty. I believe this sums up KMBI’s mission and vision for the na� on. We may arrive in diff erent approaches and diff erent loca� ons and yet we share a common goal – to help people get out of poverty.

Why am I saying this? Each one of us has a crucial role in achieving our goal. Everyone has to come together in courage and in unity to achieve our goal just like the pack of the wolves. If there is a target, these wolves don’t come just as they wish. They plan. They pa� ently observe. They think. They seek each other’s help and coopera� on. They know that if one move fails at their expense, it will have a great eff ect on the pack.

To maintain stability, organizing themselves into a pack comes naturally. No hesita� ons. No reserva� ons. For wolves, pack means loyalty and devo� on not just to one another but also to their common goal – survival.

And as you read through the pages of this material, may you remember what we need as an organiza� on to remain standing amidst diffi cul� es: Affi rm who God is and His a� ributes. God is not just omnipresent; He is not just omniscient. God is love; God is just; God is holy. We need to understand these so we know how to relate with the others; con� nue to Commit and support the vision, mission, goals and objec� ves of KMBI; con� nue to Trust God as we fulfi ll our ministry and be a listening Servant-leader. If we take them by heart, I’m confi dent that we would be able to do the very calling we have at KMBI!

As we move forward, let’s learn from the teamwork of the pack of the wolves to achieve our goal. Remember that just like a wolf, the purpose of our existence in the organiza� on is the survival of our goal. Let’s stand together just like a pack of the wolves.

To inspire us more, let me share with you the “Wolf Credo.” Respect the elders. Teach the young. Cooperate with the pack. Play when you can. Hunt when you must. Rest in between. Share your aff ec� ons. Voice your feelings. Leave your mark.

San Fernando branch hosted the annual LNW Area Fellowship on March 17 at the La Union Commission on Audit Basketball Court with the theme “Teamwork: The Secret Ingredients of Success” hosted by San Fernando branch.

Part of the said ac� vity is a short devo� on led by Ptr. Melchor Cavero, San Carlos branch partner pastor. Ptr. Cavero gave emphasis on the important of teamwork and humility. He emphasized that “one could not achieve his dreams, goals, and objec� ves without the apprecia� on and gra� tude to the person who helped and guided him.”

This year’s host prepared ac� vi� es that would strengthen the spirit of sportsmanship and camaraderie. Dagupan, Urdaneta, San Carlos, and San Fernando branches par� cipated in the cheerdance compe� � on and other ball games.

“We are conduc� ng this ac� vity annually to maintain unity and good rela� onship among branch staff because it is very important in the opera� ons. We will not be able to achieve our goals if we are not connected and in good rela� onship with our fellow staff .” said Jasmine Mendoza, OIC, LNW area.

San Fernando hosts LNW Annual Area Fellowship

Butuan supports PhilHealth RunIn solidarity with PhilHealth’s 17th anniversary celebra� on, KMBI Butuan branch staff joined the Mindanao-wide simultaneous run dubbed as “PhilHealth Run: The Mindanao Run for Hope” on February at the Father Saturnino Urios University, Butuan City.

The fi rst simultaneous run held across the island of Mindanao gathered more than 17,000 runners from Zamboanga, Cagayan de Oro, Davao, Butuan, Marawi, and Koronadal. The said event aimed to bridge fi nancial assistance for the Kids of Hope of Southern Philippines Medical Center-Children’s Cancer Center and Blood Diseases Unit and Butuan Lingap Center. Butuan branch staff posed for pictorial a� er the PhilHealth Run.

Batangas conducts tree monitoring at Brgy. Mabacong

KMBI Batangas branch staff and program members conducted an area cleaning and tree monitoring ac� vity at Brgy. Mabacong, Batangas on March 10. The 3,000 seedlings was part of the organiza� on-wide tree plan� ng ac� vity ini� ated by the Transforma� on department last year, “A� er 7 months, we are overwhelmed to see these trees growing. It’s a great fulfi lment to be part of this ac� vity and to con� nue taking good care of these trees for the benefi t

of the next genera� on.” said Richard Medel, Batangas branch manager. Medel further encouraged other branches to also monitor and map in their calendars the yearly visita� on, “Being Masaya Dito Sa KMBI means sharing happiness. We could only experience true happiness if we let other people be happy because of our service, and not only to them but also to their community,” Medel added.

Star� ng January 18, the Individual Micro Enterprise Program or IMEP is offi cially on its pilot tes� ng in Davao City, serving nine clients with total loans disbursed at P1.36M.

To help support the growth-oriented businesses, several trainings were conducted such as Basic Record keeping, and DTI’s Entrepreneurship Mindset Seminar. A Growth Assessment was also conducted for the enterprises of Lydia Malot and Emily

Salang, both IMEP clients in its prototype tes� ng phase. “IMEP has a wide range of loan products, but for the mean� me, we only off er non-collateralized fi nancial products to the market. Other systems and features of suplemental products will be off ered in the near future,” said Mishell Malabaguio, product development offi cer of R&D.

In March, Davao’s central business district will be the target of IMEP team’s intensifi ed marke� ng and promo� ons. Prepara� ons for the program expansion are also underway. Coordina� on with key offi cers from KMBI Mindanao opera� ons have already been set off . A consulta� on mee� ng involving these leaders will be organized to ensure that plans materialize reaching more growth-oriented entrepreneurs.

Agricultural Microfi nance Program or AMF welcomed 22 new farmer partners from the newly established cluster in Brgy. Avancena, Koronadal City.

Currently, the program is serving 4 barangays in Koronadal City and is catering to a total of 69 farmers.

“ We already disbursed a total of Php2.5million as of March this year,” said Junel Villamor, R&D’s product development associate. According to Ros Ma� enzo, product development head, aside from the con� nuous refi nement of AMF’s design and features, the product development team is currently conduc� ng a study to determine the responsiveness of the program to its farmer partners’ needs. The farming sector of South Cotabato has recently been encountering problems with rice produc� on. Lessons from the experiences of clients and AMF staff will form part of the set-up opera� onal system for the expansion targeted towards the end of this year.

KEY awardees join PinoyME’s anniversary celebra� on

KMBI’s 2011 Key Awardees joined Pinoy ME’s Pinoy Microentrepreneurs Conven� on on February 23-24. Program

members Ivy Millare and Precilla Cortez met with other 100 outstanding microentrepreneurs na� onwide in

celebra� on of Pinoy ME’s 6th year anniversary.

“The event broadened my knowledge in managing the business, and I will share what I have learned from the conven� on with my co-members back in Koronadal City,” said Millare. Meanwhile, Cortez tes� fi ed she enjoyed the ac� vity and learned the importance of budge� ng and passion in doing business.

During the conven� on, successful microentrepreneurs shared their insights to help other microentrepreneurs grow their businesses. It also provided a venue for par� cipants to showcase their products to a larger market.

KMBI celebrates “Masaya Experience”

Bringing “Masaya Experience” at its height, KMBI gathered its HO staff and leaders from its branches na� onwide for the 2012 Leadership retreat held at The Century Park Hotel, Manila on February 17-18, 2012.

With the theme “God’s Call to Unity in the Body” (Ephesians 4:1-6), Ptr. Jebo Banzuelo and Dr. Gloria Jimenez gave inspira� onal messages on the value of unity in the organiza� on.

The various team-building ac� vi� es prepared by REACH (Resources Employment

And Community Horizons) Incorporated, mulled the importance of unity in facing diff erent challenges and situa� ons in life. “Through the ac� vi� es we learned that in order to achieve unity within the group, we should all learn to respect and give others a chance to cooperate and par� cipate,” said Maritess Vargas, Tacurong branch accountant.

Moreover, KMBI also presented its 2011 Accomplishment Report and 2012 Business Plan.

One of the event highlights is the offi cial launching of the “Masaya Dito sa KMBI!!!” The campaign aims to share and nourish the “masaya experience” and bring it to the next level. Featuring fun experience of staff and program members in delivering and receiving holis� c transforma� on program, the “Masaya Dito sa KMBI!!!” offi cial campaign video was also premiered. As Eduardo Jimenez, President of KMBI said, “I want your stay in KMBI to be joyful; and the basis of that is, if God is with us, the joy of the Lord is with us.”

KMBI release CCDE seed fundKMBI pilots Client Feedback System

KMBI recently piloted the Client Feedback System (CFS) or Feedbox on selected branches na� onwide. Star� ng March 2012, the system enables clients and staff to channel its experiences in KMBI through a proper forum.

According to Rizaldy Duque, RM&C director, the feedback mechanism aims to capture the complaints and recognize those who are doing the right things at work. “Feedbox is all about communica� on and building good rela� onship. We are simply giving people an addi� onal channel to provide feedback that will help the organiza� on to strengthen and enhance its services,” Duque added.

The new system shall be piloted for three months in San Jose del Monte, Tandang Sora, Guagua, Tarlac, Upper Cavite, Lower Cavite, Kidapawan, Metro Davao 1, and Cebu North and South, before the na� onwide implementa� on this year. CFS is part of the incoming Customer Rela� onship Management Program of KMBI that will measure, value and create long-term rela� onship with its clients.

CCDE or Carolina Community Development Enterprise, KMBI’s Community Development Project in Naga City, received on February the fi rst tranche of seed fund amoun� ng to Php277,970 to purchase piglets and goats for its 22 members.

38 piglets were distributed to 19 benefi ciaries and six goats to another 3 benefi ciaries. Further, members who received piglets also received hog feeds enough for the next 3-4 months un� l its dispersal and vaccina� on. B-Meg provides weekly technical assistance to assure benefi ciaries of good produce.

“This will be sold to B-Meg through the CCDE with an assured profi t given to the benefi ciaries and the enterprise. Sales proceeds will again be used to buy new piglets for turn over to the exis� ng benefi ciaries. The current buying price of B-Meg is higher compared with market price,” said Belen Sison, OIC, Entrepreneurship Development Services (EDS) department. EDS department projects the release of 2nd tranche by April.

KMBI iden� fi ed its top four performing branches for 2011 namely, Kidapawan, Tacurong, Digos, and Lapu-Lapu. Each branch will receive a cash incen� ve of P50,000; half of it can be used to fund branch ac� vity for clients while the rest shall be given to staff . “This recogni� on and cash incen� ve acknowledges and salute branches that performed well last year and mo� vate others to excel this 2012,” said Rhanny Barrera, ac� ng

Our work is a blessing and we should treasure it by excelling in what we do. Ano ba ang paborito mong teleserye? Sigurado akong araw-araw ay excited ka na sundan

ang mga susunod na pangyayari sa pagitan ng bida at kontrabida sa iyong pinapanuod na teleserye. Mapapatay kaya s’ya? Makukulong? O magbabagong-buhay?

Naalala ko ang isang talinghaga sa bibliya na pinamagatang The Prodigal Son o Ang Alibughang Anak. Gaya ng mga teleserye, isang anak na gahaman sa kayamanan at kapangyarihan ang nagsilbing kontrabida rito. Lahat naman sa a� n ay pamilyar sa kwentong ito na matatagpuan sa Luke 15:11-24. Hindi ba’t siya ay naglustay ng salapi ng kaniyang ama para sa masamang bisyo gaya ng babae, alak, at sugal. Pero di kalaunan, nang maubos ang nakuhang yaman sa ama, ay nagbalik ito sa kanilang tahanan. Siguro kung sa teleserye ito nangyari malamang na hindi kaagad mapapatawad ng ama ang anak, maaaring umikot pa ang maraming eksena bago makuha ang kapatawaran. Pero sa kwentong ito, malugod siyang � nanggap ng kaniyang ama sa kabila ng lahat. Sa kanyang pag-uwi, malayo pa man siya, nakita na siya ng kanyang ama at patakbo siyang sinalubong nito, sabay niyakap at hinagkan (v20b). Dito sinabi ng anak “Ama, nagkasala ako laban sa langit at sa iyong paningin. Hindi na ako karapat-dapat na tawaging anak

mo.”, ang kanyang ama ay sumagot “Dalhin ninyo ang pinakamainam na kasuotan at isuot ninyo sa kaniya. Magbigay kayo ng singsing para sa kaniyang kamay at panyapak para sa kaniyang mga paa. Magdala kayo ng pinatabang guya at katayin ito. Tayo ay kakain at magsaya. Ito ay sapagkat ang anak kong ito ay namatay at muling nabuhay. Siya ay nawala at natagpuan. Sila ay nagsimulang magsaya.”

Kung a� ng ihahalintulad sa a� ng buhay ang istoryang ito, ang ama ay ang a� ng Diyos. Tayo ang alibughang anak na nagrebelde laban sa Diyos, pagkatapos ay nagsisi sa kasalanan at bumalik sa Kanya. Sa talinhagang ito maaari na� ng matutunan na bilang mga anak ng Diyos, hindi Niya tayo pinipigilang magrebelde bagaman masakit ito para sa Kanya. Binigyan Niya tayo ng kalayaang piliing lumayo sa piling Niya. Tulad ng isang amang lubusang nagmamahal sa kanyang anak, ma� yaga Siyang naghihintay sa a� ng pagbabalik-loob. Maaasahan na� n na kung buong puso tayong hihingi ng tawad sa Kanya, manana� li Siyang tapat at matuwid (Roma 5:19) at tayo’y patatawarin (1 Juan 1:9).

Ang buhay na� n ay may simula, may pagdurusa, may kasiyahan, at mayroon ding katapusan - parang isang teleserye.

Ang pagkakaiba lang, tayo mismo ang direktor at pwede na� ng sundin o hindi ang script ng kwento ng a� ng buhay. Kung ikaw ang kontrabida, ano ngayon ang iyong gagawin? Alam mo bang kahit ano pang pagkukulang ang iyong nagawa ay ma� yaga pa ring naghihintay sa iyong pagbabalik ang a� ng Diyos? Babalik ka ba ngayon sa iyong naghihintay na Ama?

Kung ikaw ay isang teleserye, ano ang nais mong ending ng iyong istorya?

Lahat naman tayo ay nangangarap na mabigyan ng magandang buhay ang a� ng pamilya at maranasan ang

kasaganaan sa buhay kaya naman kayod-kalabaw na marahil ang ginagawa ng marami sa a� n. Ngunit parang � la hindi pa rin sapat ang a� ng ginagawa.

Ang tanong, nais mo ba talagang yumaman?

Syempre naman! Sino ba ang ayaw yumaman, tama? Ngunit kailangan bang manalo pa sa lo� o o kaya naman ay makapag-asawa ng mayaman upang magkaroon lang ng maginhawang buhay? D’yan ka nagkakamali. May magagawa ka upang maging mayaman na di kailangan ng tulong ng iba. Kung desidido ka talagang yumaman, narito ang mga bagay na dapat mong iwasan na akala na� n ay ayos lang pero ito pala ang mga dahilan kung bakit hindi na� n makamtan ang gintong ninanais:

1. Pagnanais ng Simpleng Buhay – Hindi naman masama ang mangarap ng simpleng pamumuhay pero ang sabi na� n, gusto na� ng maging mayaman. Pero bakit tuwing � natanong tayo kung ano ang pangarap na� n sa buhay, bakit marami sa a� n ang nagsasabi na nais lang nilang magkaroon ng simpleng buhay at hindi naman ang talagang yumaman. Aminin, madalas na� n itong marinig o minsan tayo pa mismo ang nagsasabi. May isang kasabihan na, “Be careful of your thoughts for your

thoughts become your words. Be careful of your words for your words become your ac� ons. Be careful of your ac� ons for your ac� ons become your habits. Be careful of your habits for your habits become your character. Be careful of your character for your character becomes your des� ny.” Kaya kung nais mo ng simpleng buhay lamang at hindi yumaman, iyan ang pagkakaloob sa iyo, dahil iyon ang sinasabi mo.

2. Pagsasarili ng Problema – Ayon sa Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord. Plans to proper you and not to harm you; plans to give you hope and a future.” Nandyan lamang ang Diyos at handa Niya tayong gabayan. Kung ano man ang biyaya at lakas na mayroon ka ngayon kaya nakapagtatrabaho ka ay kaloob ito ng Panginoon hindi ito sa iyo nanggagaling. Kaya naman kung may problema ay huwag mahiyang tumawag sa Diyos. Siya at bukod tanging Siya lamang ang nakakaalam kung ano ang inilaan Niya para sa iyo.

3. Paglulustay dahil, “deserve ko naman ito eh” – Guilty ka ba? Kung nais mong lumago ang iyong pera, dapat lamang ay magkaroon ka ng disiplina at matutong magbudget. Teka, paano nga pala ang tamang pagbubudget? Well, ganito lang ‘yon, 10% ang itabi para sa Panginoon, o sa Panginoon ‘yon ha ‘wag nang galawin pa (� thes); 30% ay itago para sa emergency fund, bayad-utang fund, at kayaman fund or savings; at

ang 70% ay maaari mo nang magamit sa iba pang pinaglalaanan. Tulad nga ng nabanggit sa ikalawang bilang, ang Panginoon ang nagbigay sa a� n ng lahat ng yaman at lakas na a� ng � natamasa, kaya naman nararapat lamang na ibigay na� n sa Kanya ang ikapu (10%) ng a� ng nakukuha, hindi ba? Tandaan na huwag kang gagastos hangga’t hindi mo pa naitatabi ang 10% at 30%. Disiplinahin ang sarili. Kailangan iyan!

4. Wala Akong Pera eh – Huwag kang maging nega! Kung nais mong yumaman, i-declare mo yan! Mayroon kang pera, maaaring minsan ay hindi sapat ngunit mayroon pa rin. Huwag mo ring sanayin ang sarili mo sa salitang never. Ang mga mayayaman kapag may nais sila, ginagawan nila ng paraan. Kung may gusto kang maabot, i-declare mo yan at gawan mo ng paraan. Huwag makuntento na lagi nalang wala.

Pero tandaan na kahit gawin mo ang lahat ng iyan pero nagkukulang ka naman ng pag� � wala sa Panginoon at pagsisikap ay wala ring mangyayari. Mahirap ang buhay ngunit walang imposible kay Lord basta ipakita mo lamang sa Kanya na ikaw ay deserving sa pagyaman!

It’s half past 6 in the morning and I am s� ll at the corner of EDSA and J. P. Rizal St. (north-bound side) of Guadalupe

Maka� wai� ng for a red, ordinary commuter bus to take me to SM North where I usually transfer to another bus that will take me to the offi ce. Why the red ordinary commuter bus? When running a bit late, it’s usually the be� er and faster op� on I have over taking the MRT that will guarantee I s� ll make it to work on � me.

But today isn’t like any usual day. It’s Monday and on a day like this, MMDA traffi c enforcers would come out early along EDSA. In fact, from where I am standing, one of them is already within sight. I know one or two of them with their motorbikes will come towards where I am standing with other passengers and will mo� on us to go where we are and get to their passenger prescribed loading area about 500 meters away. Now I am in an awful dilemma. If one traffi c enforcer get near before my bus arrives, I will be forced to walk very far and take a snail-paced bus or climb up and take the MRT. Either way, I will be surely late for work. So I said to myself, no. I will not move yet. I will wait on ‘� ll God causes my bus to arrive.

About 5 minutes before 7a.m. and as two enforcers were gearing up to begin their approach, my red, all-metal hero appeared in such a powerful speed I was literally swept away! Then, I learned PATIENCE does pay.

Pa� ence as we have o� en been taught is a trait or behaviour associated with the prim and proper. Not being hurried and impulsive but calm, composed and in control despite the hustle and bustle of one’s surroundings and being s� ll and quiet despite provoca� ons. They say pa� ent people do not hurry. When faced with a circumstance, pa� ent people usually wait for the right � me to take the ac� on the situa� on requires. This however seems to paint a picture of pa� ence as simply a passive wai� ng or gentle tolerance. It is not so. Pa� ence as “bearing pains or trials calmly without complaining”, “being steadfast despite opposi� on or adversary”, “showing self-control under provoca� on or strain,” it is not something benign but imply that pains, trials, adversity and strain may also be involved. The Bible confi rms this too.In the New Testament, “pa� ence” has been translated into mostly ac� ve,

Consider, for example, Hebrews 12:1: “Therefore since we also are surrounded with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight and the sin which so easily besets us, and let us run with pa� ence the race that is set before us” (NKJV). In this verse, “pa� ence” takes equal meaning with “endurance” and “perseverance”. Anyone par� cipa� ng in a race can never be passive but has to be someone who will endure the diffi cul� es that come with the compe� � on. A Chris� an runs the race pa� ently by persevering through diffi cul� es. In the Bible, pa� ence is persevering towards a goal, enduring trials, or expectantly wai� ng for a promise to be fulfi lled.

Pa� ence is a signifi cant ingredient to a victorious Chris� an life but it is neither acquired nor develops overnight. God’s power and goodness are crucial to the development of pa� ence. Colossians 1:11 tells us that we are strengthened by Him to “great endurance and pa� ence,” while James 1:3-4 encourages us to know that trials are His way of perfec� ng our pa� ence. Our pa� ence is further developed and strengthened by res� ng in God’s perfect will and � ming, even in the face

of evil men who “succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes” (Psalm 37:7). Pa� ence, being also among the fruits of the Spirit Gala� ans 5:22 will grow in us if we will con� nually open our hearts and minds to the indwelling power of the Holy Spirit.

So why be pa� ent? If faith can move mountains, pa� ence too has its own posi� ve consequence. Pa� ence never goes unrewarded but always comes with a fulfi lled promise. We see in the Bible many examples of those whose pa� ence characterized their walk with God and received the fulfi lment of God’s promises. James points us to the prophets “as an example of pa� ence in the face of suff ering” (James 5:10). He also refers to Job, whose perseverance was rewarded by what the “Lord fi nally brought about” (James 5:11). Abraham, too, waited pa� ently and “received what was promised” (Hebrews 6:15). Jesus is our model in all things, and He demonstrated pa� ent and endurance: “Who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God” (Hebrews 12:2).

Exercising pa� ence in wai� ng for a bus however is too simple a circumstance to demonstrate pa� ence. Its true test comes o� en in situa� ons where we feel our personal honor and rights are violated – when people make fun of our physical disabili� es, when our sense of fashion is ridiculed, our decisions are opposed, our requests declined, when we become subject of malicious gossips, when we are diagnosed with a life-threatening illness, and so on and so forth. Yet in all of these circumstances, as followers of Christ, we have to persevere and endure as much as Christ did because Pa� ence reveals our faith in God’s � ming, omnipotence, and love (1 Thessalonians 5:14).

Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see (Hebrews 11:1,

NIV). By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible (v. 3).By faith Noah, when warned about things not yet seen, in holy fear built an ark to save his family. By his faith he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness that comes by faith (v. 7).

By faith my family experienced peace, joy, and so much love amidst the crisis we faced when my mom suff ered from complicated chronic illness. I recall, however, that on several occasions within those four years of agony, I s� ll turned to the Lord and asked “Why Lord? Why her? Why us?” In those moments I couldn’t help but be cynical. Nevertheless, God is slowly unfolding His reasons and great plans. In the middle of trials, the Lord makes us experience His presence and faithfulness more closely in countless and unimaginable ways thru people and situa� ons. I can personally a� est to the faith that the Lord never le� us nor forsook us.

Mom peacefully joined the Lord in heaven. Four months a� er, my family received a gi� of a new life. By faith,

there is this li� le baby inside my womb six months a� er my OB-gynecologist said that I will have diffi cul� es in having a baby due to polycys� c ovary (PCO) resul� ng from hormonal imbalance. The PCO even caused me diabetes, which made pregnancy a much remote dream. Remember how Abraham, by faith, even though he was past his age – and Sarah herself was barren – was enabled to become a father because “he considered Him faithful who had made the promise (v. 11).”

I once read from Patrick Overton, educator and community development specialist, that when you have come to the edge of all light that you know and are about to drop off into the darkness of the unknown, faith is knowing one of two things will happen - there will be something solid to stand on or you will be taught to fl y. But I wonder why even a� er everything we have read and heard about faith, despite the many miracles and evidences in our lives, we s� ll tend to lose faith.

Have you no� ced that nowadays we are so preoccupied with problems and diffi cul� es? Most of the � me we talk about what’is wrong with the government, our organiza� on, our colleagues, the youth, etc. It seems that cri� cal, judgmental, and complaining people

fi nd each other and feed each other with pessimism. And it seems they are always resistant to change.

Are you one of them? Hey, admit it! All of us are guilty of that, one way or the other. It’s high � me to be diff erent! The Bible tells us in Hebrews 10:23 & 24 “Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful. And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deed.”

In my search for answers on how to encourage and empower faith, I tripped over the sermon of Dr. Robert Myers, Senior Pastor at the Del Norte Bap� st Church in Mexico and the website of The Navigators that made me realize about empowering faith:

Being reminded that salva� on is complete. We are to remind ourselves what it cost God to give us the gi� of salva� on. This salva� on was won and that victory over Satan and death was assured on the cross.Affi rming that there is forgiveness. Though victory over sin has been conquered for us, at � mes we s� ll fall short. Ask God for forgiveness and rely on His promise to forgive and make you clean again.Assurance of victory. You may feel weak and powerless to stand against life� me habit that displeases God. You’re no longer

alone! Watch for how God provides ways of escape for you.Assurance of answered prayers. You can ask in Jesus’ name because you belong to Him and trust Him to answer in the way He thinks is best.Knowing Jesus is always with you and guides you. He made a promise in Hebrews 13:5 and Joshua 1:5 that he will never leave you nor forsake you. The Lord is omnipotent, omnipresent, and omniscient. He knows best beyond our understanding.Believing that with God nothing is impossible. Jesus confi rmed this in Mark 10:27.

God wants us to be encouraged and be an encouragement to others. He has given us the means to do so. Jeff Doles, writer of Keeping the Faith When Things Get Tough and several books on faith,shared some prac� cal pointers.

1.Recognize that you do not have to stay discouraged. It may be like a bird that fl ies over your head, but you do not have to let it nest in your hair. Stop speaking out of nega� vity and start speaking in faith. Find out what the Word of God has to say about your situa� on. 2.Remember that, if you accepted the Lord Jesus Christ, you are in covenant with God, and He has commi� ed Himself

to take care of you in every situa� on. 3.Meditate on the Lord. It is not about us, but about Him. Let your medita� on be about the Lord, His love, promises, goodness, and works. Get in His presence, give thanks and praise Him.4.Stand in the armor of God and be equipped as Paul described in Ephesians 6:11-18.

Discouragement will tell you that you have nothing going for you and everything going against you. Encouragement tells you that you have everything going for you and it doesn’t ma� er what you have going against you. God is on your side, with the provision for every need and the answer for every problem you may have.

Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all genera� ons, forever and ever! Amen (Ephesians 3:20-21).

Are you off for the beach, the sand and some far away land? Or maybe, you might want to do more because this

could be an ac� ve season for everyone?

Summer, perhaps, is the most an� cipated season. Most people are out in the sun taking every opportunity to either work or take pleasure. However, while the sun seems to give vibrancy and life, there are situa� ons where people may not enjoy it as this could also be detrimental to our health.

Here are some of the common summer problems, quick-fi x remedies and preven� on:

HEAT STROKE

Heat stroke is a form of hyperthermia, which means that the body temperature increases drama� cally and can be fatal if not promptly and properly a� ended. The body is able to generate heat as a result of metabolism, and disperse heat by form of swea� ng. In extremely hot condi� on or due to very rigid ac� vity under the sun, the body may not be able to dispel the heat and the body temperature rises. Dehydra� on is also another cause.

If anyone suff ers from a heat stroke, the fi rst and foremost thing to do is to cool oneself. Get to a shady area, apply or spray water on the skin, fan the vic� m to promote swea� ng and place ice packs under armpits and groin. If the vic� m is able to drink liquids, have him/her drink cold water or other cool beverages that do not contain alcohol or caff eine. Monitor body temperature and no� fy emergency services for further instruc� ons and treatment.

Always rehydrate yourself and limit prolonged ac� vi� es under the sun. Drink plenty of fl uids but avoid drinks with too much caff eine, which only lead to dehydra� on. Wear hats, light-colored and light clothes.

SKIN, HAIR and SCALP

The skin is one part of the body that are always exposed during summer. The warm sunny days of summer drive us to cut short on our usual clothes to make us more comfortable and get the “hot, summer” look. The only hazard is we tend to overlook some skin prepara� on to ba� le the eff ects of UV rays.

I. Polymorphous light erup� on (PMLE). These are itchy, red rashes caused by exposure to ultraviolet radia� on from tanning beds and sunlight. They usually appear on the neck, arms, thighs, chest and face. It is advised for people with fair skin to minimize sun exposure by limi� ng � me under the sun un� l the skin gradually gets used to the new weather condi� on. Applying sunblock helps prevent rashes from fi rst � me occurrence.

II. Acne. When it’s hot, the glands in the skin produce more oil; thus, it leads to being more prone to breakouts on the face, back and chest.Avoid scrubbing excessively as this could only worsen the condi� on of acne. Use a good scrub that contains jojoba beads, which removes dead skin cells without damaging pores. For women, if you need and can’t help to put on makeup, use oil-free products and put sunscreen.

III. Heat rash. When the sweat ducts are clogged and the sweat can’t get to the surface, heat rash occurs.It o� en appears on the body where fric� on occurs or in folds of skin. Applying hydrocor� sone creams or sprays can calm heat rash. Pu� ng on talc on aff ected areas and wearing breathable, lightweight clothing are also advised to avoid the skin from irrita� on.

IV. Insect bites. Bugs such as chiggers and � cks are commonly found in grass and weeds. They are a� racted to heavily scented products such as sprays, shampoos, lo� ons and perfumes; thus, using mild scented products can be more helpful during summer. Apply insect repellent when needed but only apply to exposed skin.

V. Dry, scorched hair. Avoid pu� ng too much chemicals on hair. This is also true to avoid split-ends. Cut your hair regularly to revive its bounce and body. Giving your hair a li� le massage can unlock moisture in your hair. You can also use SPF sprays on hair and prevent cancer of the scalp.

Taking lots of water and ea� ng healthy are s� ll the best ways to protect the body from the damaging eff ects of the sun.Always remember that your health is more important than ge� ng all the dazzle this season. As the old cliché goes, too much of everything is bad. You don’t need to stay long under the sun just to experience and show off that you’re “in” this summer.

Rhany P. Barrera Story

What can I do to become successful in life? Born in a typical poor family, Rhany Barrera, Ac� ng

Opera� ons Director of KMBI, once asked this ques� on to himself when he was young. Rhany was born in a small town in Koronadal City to a rice farmer and a public school teacher. “I remember when I was a kid, I used to sell banana cue, roasted peanuts, pineapple juice and ice candy in Koronadal City. Yung kita ko ay nakatulong sa daily expenses namin.” “Actually a� er high school, I see no opportunity to get to college pero hindi ako tumigil na mangarap na maging isang public school teacher like my mother. Nagtyaga talaga ako. Pumunta ako ng Bicol at doon tumulong ako sa farm ng uncle ko. So habang nag-aaral ako, I also work in the Farm hanggang sa makakuha ako ng job as a school janitor at eventually nakatanggap ako ng scholarship.” Rhany was able to fi nish college with a degree in Secondary Educa� on major in Mathema� cs. When he returned home in Koronadal, Rhany was able to land a job in a private school. However his desire to enter public school prompted him to resign to have � me to review for his licensure exam. “Nakapasa ako noong 1999 and while wai� ng for a teaching job, nagkainteres ako nun na

mag-apply sa KMBI as Program Assistant para masuportahan din ang family ko.” While working at KMBI, despite the challenges, Rhany enjoyed his new journey and his greatest dream shi� ed in an instant. “Ang maging isang teacher ang greatest dream ko. I love to teach, kasi alam kong mabibigyan ko ng pagkakataon ang mga estudyante ko na magkaroon ng mas magandang buhay kung patuloy silang mag-aaral. Pero nang maging PA ako, nakita ko na ang pagtuturo ko sa mga program members ay walang pinagkaiba sa pagiging isang guro. I realized that I can also make a diff erence in other people’s life even outside the classroom.” Known to be a disciplinarian to his program members, Rhany worked hard to gain the trust and respect from his program members “As leaders, regardless of age, we need fi rst and foremost to lead by example. We have to set the values at the center and live with it. This is how I gained their trust and respect.“ Rhany consistently used his dedica� on and God-given talent to take on seemingly impossible daily opera� ons in Koronadal. “Noong una, hindi ko pa lubusang naiin� ndihan ang mission at vision ng KMBI, ang naiini� ndihan ko lang kailangan na� ng tulungan ang mahihirap. Kaya sa

umpisa ay hindi naging madali para sa akin ang pagbuo ng mga sentro. Minsan kahit tambay ay napapa-utang dahil mahirap sila. Hanggang sa marealize ko na ang mga taong ito ay walang capacity to repay at mukhang hindi rin nila gustong tulungan ang sarili nilang makaahon sa kahirapan. These people should also decide for themselves fi rst to get out of poverty so we can help them.” With that, he started to seek people that are more determined to get out of poverty un� l he was able to establish good centers. His determina� on, discipline, and passion led him to the peak of his career. Rhany rose from the ranks, handled diff erent posi� ons, and relocated to diff erent parts of the Philippines where KMBI has its opera� ons. Rhany’s success is the fruit of his passion, determina� on and faith in God. At fi rst, he only dreams to become a teacher un� l God opened his eyes and revealed His greatest plan for him – to make a diff erence in the lives of the poor. While real teachers are in school, Rhany con� nue his journey outside the classroom where the world is much bigger and teaching comes in diff rent forms.

Nakakita ka na ba ng malaking poster sa isang � ndahan na nakasaad na “Customer is Always Right?” Ano

ang implikasyon sa iyo ng katagang ito bilang isang kostumer? Ang statement na “Customer is Always Right” ay galing kay Harry Gordon Selfride isang founder ng London’s Selfridges store na nagbukas noong 1909. Ang ibig sabihin nito ay ang mga kostumer ang laging una sa negosyo. Ginagamit din ang katagang ito bilang isang polisiya ng kumpanya upang maging masaya ang mga kostumer sa pamamagitan ng pagsunod sa kanilang hinihingi. Dahil kung walang kostumer, walang negosyo!

Sa kabilang banda, no one is always right! Lahat ng relasyon, kahit ang pinakamatagumpay na tao minsan ay may pagtatalo, lalo na sa owner-customer rela� onship. Kung susuriin na� n, ang kostumer ay hindi 100 % na tama. Naka-encounter ka na ba ng isang eksena sa isang � ndahan na pinagpilitan ng kostumer na makakuha ng size na hindi naman available? Gayundin, naka-encounter ka na ba ng mga Program Members na galit na galit dahil hindi ma-withdraw ang Capital Build-Up (CBU)? Mapapansin na� n na sa ganitong pagkakataon ay nababastos o nagiging kawawa ang mga empleyado na� n at nagiging dahilan ito ng pagbaba ng kanilang morale. Maaari rin itong

magresulta ng pagbibigay ng substandard na serbisyo ng empleyado. Alalahanin na ang mga empleyado ay hindi mga robot na walang mga damdamin. Sila ay mga tao na may pakiramdam. Isaalang-alang din na� n na meron ding rights o karapatan ang mga empleyado. Sila ang katuwang sa pagpapatakbo ng negosyo. Kapag sila ay nakaramdam ng pangangalaga ng business owner o ng kanilang boss, ito ay makikita sa kanilang uri ng serbisyo. Nagkakaroon sila ng mas higit na mo� basyon upang mag trabaho. ‘Pag ganito ang sitwasyon masasabi na� n na kapag happy ang empleyado, happy din ang mga customers!

Alam mo ba na dahil sa katagang Customer is Always Right ay mas binibigyan pa ng special treatment ang mga abusadong kostumer kaysa masasabi na� ng nice kostumer. Parang mali hindi ba? Sino ba ang nagiging loyal customer? Di ba ang nice customers. Nakaranas ka na ba ng mga kostumer o kliyente na ipinipilit ang kanilang gusto kahit mali naman? Kadalasan naimpluwensyahan pa ng mga ito ang ibang mga kostumers o kliyente na maaaring ikasira ng negosyo. Isipin na� n na pwede rin itong mangyari sa a� ng mga ENTREP centers.

Mapapa-isip ka na lang sa isang tabi, sila ba talaga ay iyong mga kostumers? Nais mo bang maranasan ang mga ito sa iyong negosyo? Of

Mas magandang kung alam na� n ang karapatan ng kostumer upang maiwasan ang mga hindi inaasahang complaints o reklamo.

Narito ang walong pangunahing karapatan ng Consumer:

1. The Right to Basic Needs Napapaloob dito ang pag-regulate

ng presyo ng mga pangunahing pangagailangan at gayundin, ang pagbabawal ng kartel sa pamilihan.

2. The Right to Safety Karapatan ng consumer o mamimili na

maging maingat sa pagpili ng produkto o serbisyo na makasasama sa buhay at kalusugan.

3. The Right to Informa� on Ito ay proteksyon ng consumer na

magkaroon ng sapat na kaalaman tungkol sa produkto o serbisyo. Ang mga adver� sers ay hindi dapat nililinlang ang mga consumers sa pamamagitan ng maling label at maling impormasyon na may kinalaman sa warranty, mga kontrata ng serbisyo, o mga tuntunin sa pagkakautang.

4. The Right to Choose Karapatan ng consumer na mamili ng

produkto o serbisyo.

5. The Right to Representa� on Karapatan na mailahad ang interest ng

consumers sa pamahalaan.

6. The Right to Redress Dito napapaloob ang return and exchange

policy.

7. The Right to Consumer Educa� on Karapatan na magkaroon ng kaalaman at

sapat na inpormasyon ang consumer.

8. The Right to Healthy Environment Karapatang mamuhay at magtrabaho

Sa mga katulad na� ng nagtatrabaho sa isang Micro-Finance Ins� tu� on (MFI), may inilabas ang Smart Campaign na Principles of Client Protec� on and Good Prac� ce Indicators. Binibigyan nito ng pansin ang tamang pagtrato sa kliyente, pagsiguro na may kakayahan ang kliyente sa pagbabayad, pagiging transparent sa lahat ng impormasyon o transaksyon sa pagpapatakbo ng programa, pagbibigay kalidad sa serbisyo, tamang pagtugon sa

mga reklamo, at pagiging pribado ng mga impormasyon hinggil sa kliyente.

Ang mga nakasaad sa itaas ay mahalagang malaman ng bawat empleyado, hindi lamang ng mga frontliners na direktang nakikipag-ugnayan sa mga kliyente. Sa pakikisalamuha na� n sa kliyente (kapwa na� n empleyado at mga tunay na kliyente sa labas ng tanggapan) mahalagang maisabuhay na� n ang mga ito.

Tunay nga na ang a� ng mga kostumer ay mahalaga, ngunit mahalaga din ang mga katuwang na� n sa negosyo, ang mga empleyado. Maiiwasan na� n ang di pagkakaunawaan kung isinasabuhay at alam na� n ang karapatan ng mg kostumer.

Busy ako! Madalas sinasabi na� n ito, pero sa panahon ngayon ay wala na yatang taong hindi busy. Busy sa

pamilya, trabaho, at marami pang iba. Kaya naman kapag may kaun� ng oras na na� ra para sa sarili ay mas pinipili na� ng matulog o kumain, o manood ng sine/TV kaysa sa mag-ehersisyo. Karaniwang bik� ma nito ang mga taong nagtatrabaho sa opisina. Kapag stressed o pagod sa trabaho ay mas pinipili na� ng mag-relax. Kaya mas prone ang mga offi ce workers sa pagiging obese. Nakakita ka na ba ng kargador sa pier o construc� on worker na mataba? Karaniwan sa kanila ay mayroong ma� � punong pangangatawan dahil sa physical ac� vi� es na kanilang ginagawa. Bukod sa oras ay nakikita na� ng gastos ang pag-aalaga sa katawan. Iniisip na� ng mahal ang pagpunta sa gym pero kahit naman saan ay pwede tayong magkaroon ng magandang pangangatawan basta’t tayo’y may disiplina. Ano ba ang benepisyo ng pag-eehersisyo? Magkakaroon ng self-confi dence – kapag healthy ka ay mas tataas ang kompyansa mo sa sarili. Mas fresh ang pakiramdam ng taong healthy dahil nailalabas nito ang mga toxins sa katawan habang nag-eexercise. Maliksing pagkilos – dahil tama ang iyong � mbang sa iyong height ay mas mabilis ang iyong paggalaw. Mas marami ka ring magagawa sa buong araw. Mas magiging epek� bo sa maraming bagay – mapapaganda ng pag-eexercise ang daloy ng oxygen sa a� ng katawan. Dahil dito mas maganda rin ang a� ng mental ac� vity at na-enhance rin ang a� ng memory.

Narito ang ilang basic tips upang makapag-ehersisyo kahit na tayo ay busy sa maraming bagay. Sit ups- Pagkagising matapos magdasal sa umaga ay gumawa ng at least 10 sit ups at dagdagan ito kada araw. Nakakatulong ito sa pagpapaliit ng bilbil dahil � nutunaw nito ang taba sa a� ng katawan at nailalabas na� n ito ng maayos kasama ng a� ng dumi. Maganda rin na gawin itong muli bago matulog. Mag-jogging or maglakad- Maaaring mag-jogging tuwing weekends o habang walang pasok. Maaari ring sa halip na sumakay ng jeep o tricycle pagpasok o pag-uwi mula sa opisina ay maglakad na lamang kung kaya namang lakarin ito. Bukod sa maraming taba o calories ang natutunaw nito, mas magiging masigla rin ang iyong buong araw dahil nakakatulong din ito sa maayos na pagdaloy ng dugo sa a� ng katawan. Uminom ng tubig- Nakakatulong ang pag-inom ng tubig di lamang sa pagdaloy ng dugo. Maganda ang naidudulot ng pag-inom ng maligamgam (lukewarm) na tubig kesa sa malamig dahil mas madaling matunaw ang a� ng mga taba kumpara sa malamig na tubig. Kumain ng prutas at gulay - “An apple a day keeps the doctor away.” Sikat na kasabihan yan di ba. Totoo naman ito, ang pagkain ng prutas gaya ng mansanas ay nagpapalakas ng a� ng katawan. Alam niyo ba na sa isang mansanas lamang ay maari na kayong mabusog at sisigla ang iyong katawan? Maaari din naman kumain ng pinya at berdeng gulay na mayaman sa fi ber. Kumain ng marami sa wastong oras – Huwag kang magpakamatay sa gutom.

Hindi dahil gusto mong maging slim ay ipagpapaliban mo ang pagkain. Mahalaga na kumain ng tatlong beses sa isang araw. Ang pinakamahalagang oras ng pagkain ay ang almusal, mas marami mas mainam. Ito ang magbibigay sayo ng lakas sa buong araw. Sa tanghali naman ay maaari pa ring kumain ngunit iwasan ang matataba at masesebong pagkain, kung hindi naman maiiwasan ay siguraduhing uminom ng maligamgam na tubig pagkatapos upang matulungang matunaw ang sebo sa loob ng katawan. Sa gabi naman ay kumain ng maaga at kaun� lamang. Piliin ang mga pagkaing magaan sa� yan o madaling matunaw dahil sa gabi wala na tayong gagawin kaya di tayo agad agad matutunawan. Ito ay isa sa mga sanhi kung bakit tayo nagkakaroon ng bilbil. Matulog ng maaga - Dapat tayong matulog ng maaga upang makabawi ang a� ng katawan na napagod sa maghapon na� ng pagtatrabaho. Ang pagpupuyat ay di nakakabu� sa a� ng pangangatawan, babagsak ito at maaring magdulot ng iba’t-ibang sakit. Hindi dahil busy ka ay di mo na kailangang mag-ehersisyo at pabayaan na lang basta ang pangangatawan. Maraming simple at murang paraan para magawa ito. Habang bata pa ay simulan na na� n ang pangangalaga dito upang kahit na tayo ay magka-edad na ay feeling young and healthy ka pa rin!

Matatamis, matataba, at oily foods, ito ang karaniwang masarap kainin, hindi ba? Kaya naman ito rin ang

karamihan sa pinapasok sa a� ng katawan, ang sobrang pagkain nito ay hindi mabu� sa a� ng kalusugan. Halimbawa na lang sa aming pamilya, palibhasa’y masarap magluto ang aking magulang at pare-pareho kaming mahilig kumain, apat sa aming lima ang may diabetes, at isa na ako doon.

Mula sa walang pakundangang pagkain, pagpupuyat, at stress, hindi na kinaya ng aking katawan ang tuluyang pang-aabuso ko rito at doon ko naisip na ang lahat pala ay may hangganan. Un� -un� ay nagbago na rin ang pananaw ko sa aking pagkain, sa aking katawan o kalusugan at sa “wellness” nito.

Ayon sa aking doktor, dapat � ngnan na� n ang a� ng katawan bilang isang “investment.” Kung puro basura at unhealthy ang ipinapasok na� n sa a� ng katawan, basura rin ang a� ng aanihin. Kaya nga mayroong mga sakit gaya ng diabetes, cancer, heart a� ack, stroke, at iba pa. Kung healthy ang binibigay na� ng pagkain sa a� ng katawan ay makaiiwas tayo sa sakit. Gusto mo kamo ng healthy foods pero wala kang oras magpeprepare nito?Narito ang ilang � ps upang masigurong healthy ang iyong kakainin.

1. Piliin ang fresh at hindi nalutong pagkain. Hangga’t maaari ay dapat 51% na

pinapasok na� n sa katawan ay fresh. Mga fresh na prutas at gulay ang pinaka mainam, gaya ng ponkan, pinya, mansanas, letsugas, pipino, at iba pa. Pwede mo itong gawing salad, simple na, healthy pa. Sa opisina, madalas kong baon

ay ang vegetable smoothie - kombinasyon ito ng talbos ng kamote, saluyot at dalawang boteng yakult. Mataas sa Chlorophyll content ang dalawang gulay na ito na siya namang nagpapadami at naglilinis ng dugo na� n. Ang epekto nito sa akin? Aba mas gumanda pa ang ku� s ko! Marami rin itong enzymes, bitamina

at minerals na karaniwang nawawala sa pagluto.

2. Iwasan ang “Processed food.” Kung maaari magbaon ng pagkaing

kaluluto lamang noong umaga.

Umiwas o bawasan ang processed meats tulad ng canned goods, corned beef,

fi shballs, squidballs, chicken balls, meat loaf, siomai, hamburger, etc. dahil madalas itong may dagdag na “extenders.” Madalas may mga nitrates ito at iba pang mga chemicals na nagpapalaki sa a� n. Maraming pag-aaral na rin ang nagawa ukol sa pagkain ng processed meat araw-araw ay nagdudulot ng mas malaking risk sa heart disease at cancer.

Bakit hindi mo subukan ang pagkain ng mais, kamote, kamoteng kahoy, mani, saging na saba, at iba pa para sa iyong almusal o merienda. Nariyan rin ang lutong gulay, at hindi rin naman ipinagbabawal ang pagkain ng karne gaya ng inaakala ng iba, kailangan lang na moderate ang pagkain nito.

3. Uminom ng maraming tubig lalo na sa biyahe.

Minsan, ang akala na� ng gutom, ay uhaw pala. Uminom ng at least 2 liters a day para malinis ng a� ng katawan at

maiwasan ang UTI, pagkahapo, at sa dehydra� on. Para sa mga nagbabawas ng � mbang at madalas sikmurain, magandang pambusog at neutralizer ng acid ang tubig. Ang tubig din ay madalas ginagamit ng alterna� ve doctors para pang-detoxify ng katawan na� n.

4. Uminom ng tsaa o tea. Maraming klaseng tsaa na gawa sa green

tea ang mahusay sa a� ng katawan at hindi kasing acidic ng kape. Ang mga tsaa ay may “fl avonoids” na tumutulong kalabanin ang cancer, sakit sa puso at pre-mature aging. Meron din nauusong “ginger tea” at “turmeric tea” na gawa sa luyang dilaw. Mahusay ang turmeric na panlaban sa pabalik-balik na ubo at di matanggal na sipon. Tinutulungan kasi ng turmeric ang katawan na� n maging mas malakas ang resistensiya laban sa mga bacteria at virus.

Marami pang healthy at murang pagkain na available sa a� n. Importante na magkaroon tayo ng interes na magbasa ukol dito para maalagaan na� n ng mabu� ang mga katawan dahil ito ang puhunan na� n sa a� ng mga trabaho. So, sana sa susunod na kailangan na� ng magdesisyon kung ano ang kakainin, pillin mo na yung healthy choice.

ng tubig, uupo sandali, magpupunas ng pawis at lakad muli. Teka, teka, kinamusta mo na ba ang iyong mga paa? Aba, sila ang nagpakapagod na magdala sa iyo kung saan saang lugar kaya naman dapat lamang na kamustahin mo sila. Sandali lang, hindi mo ba sila nabibigyang pansin? Kung gayon, magpatuloy lamang sa pagbabasa at i-share ko sa inyo kung paano nga ba na� n maalagaan ang a� ng mga paa ng hindi naman sila magtampo sa a� n at patuloy pa rin tayong makagala. Okay ba?

1. Hugasan ang paa – Simple lang di ba? Ngunit hindi lang ito basta babasain ah!

Dapat kuskusin mo hanggang sa mga singit ng bawat daliri dahil doon maaaring mamugad ang mga fungi at bacteria. Ayaw mo naman siguro na magkaroon ng di kanais-nais na amoy ang iyong paa, hindi ba?

2. Tuyuin ang paa – Tama nga naman na punasan na� n ang a� ng paa. Dapat din bigyang atensyon ang pagpupunas sa mga singit ng a� ng mga daliri upang hindi ito pamugaran ng bacteria.

3. Mag-moisturizer – Sino may sabing mahal ang mag-moisturize? Humanap ng lo� on na makapagbibigay sa iyong paa ng karampatang moisture upang hindi maging dry ang iyong paa. Ano nga ba ang itsura ng dry na paa? Ito yung namumu� ang paa, nagka-crack

ang sakong at hindi magandang � ngnan talaga. Kaya naman dapat na alagaan at pagandahin mo rin ang iyong paa. Matapos maligo, ugaliing lagyan ng lo� on ang paa. Isa pang karagdagang � p, tuwing matutulog, maglagay ng lo� on at magsuot ng co� on na medyas para ma-absorb ng paa ang moisturizing proper� es ng lo� on at maging mas maganda ang iyong paa. Ngunit tandaan na iwasang lagyan ng lo� on ang singit ng daliri dahil maaari itong pamugaran ng bacteria.

4. Linisin ang kuko – Pedicure! Tama, pedicure nga ang tawag doon. Hindi naman kinakailangang mapamahal o di kaya ay magbayad pa ng pang-pedicure. Sa totoo lang, maaaring gupitan mo lamang ang iyong kuko upang mapana� li itong malinis. Ngunit tandaan na ang paggupit ng kuko ay dapat sa hugis na square upang hindi ka magkaroon ng ingrown nails. Alam mo naman sigurong medyo may kasakitan ang pagkakaroon ng ingrown hindi ba?

5. Sapatos at Tsinelas – Hindi naman kinakailangang bumili ka pa ng mamahaling sapatos o ng Havaianas na tsinelas. Tandaan lang na bago mo bayaran ang iyong sapatos ay siguraduhing hindi ito masikip para sa iyong paa kung hindi, maaari kang magkaroon ng kalyo. Sa tsinelas naman, upang maging maayos ang proteksyon ng iyong paa, huwag ipagpilitan ang small size. Bumili ng tsinelas na kasya ang iyong paa upang magkaroon ito ng karampatang proteksyon.

Madali lang naman alagaan ang iyong mga paa at nararapat lamang na bigyan sila ng kaukulang pansin upang hindi tayo magsisi sa huli. Ang a� ng mga paa ang tumutulong sa a� ng makara� ng kung saan mang lugar at madalas nga ay sila ang unang napapagod tuwing tayo ay umaalis. Bigyan mo sila ng pansin. Hindi dahil nasa baba sila ay hindi ka na maaaring yumuko upang alagaan sila. Tandaan mo na ang iyong mga paa ang nagdadala at bumubuhat sa iyo. Nakokonsensya ka na ba?

Aminin mo, ikaw ba yung � po na hahamakin ang lahat makagala lang?

O � pong mag-iinarte muna pero sasama din naman? O yung � po na basta maisipan, alis na agad? Kahit anong karakter ka pa, basta sa galaan tandaan na may � natawag na “art and science of travelling.”

Ano daw? Tama ang iyong narinig. Hindi biro ang magbyahe dahil bukod sa iisiping gastos kailangan din isipin maige ang mga dapat dalhin bago umalis. Iyon ang art and science dun! Imaginin na lang kung bago ka palang umalis ay stressed ka na at lalo pang mastress dahil kulang na lang isama mo ang buong kwarto o bahay mo para lang sa ilang araw na bakasyon! Nakakatawa di ba.

Kaya narito ang ilang handy � ps para masigurong wagi ka sa bawat byahe mo: 1.Ano ba ang kailangan ko i-pack?

Una, saan ka ba pupunta? Importanteng malaman mo ang weather, ang kultura at mga gusto mong puntahan na lugar para hindi ka mabigla pagda� ng sa iyong des� nasyon. Tandaan na magkaiba ang ibig sabihin ng “gustong dalhin” sa “dapat dalhin.” May mga gusto kang dalhin pero kaya mo bang � ising wala ito ng kahit ilang araw lang? Kaya kung magbabyahe, tandaan lang ang mga simpleng � ps na ito. Basta ang rule of thumb, huwag magdala ng hindi naman kailangan. Pagplanuhan mabu� ang dadalhin kahit pa sabihing spontaneous travel ang iyong gagawin. Gawing standard ang one travel bag tuwing bibyahe para mas maging magaang at pahingado ang pakiramdam. Siguro naman pwede mo ng sabihin na “It’s more fun bumyahe!”

Nakapaloob din dito ang mga hakbang upang matukoy at maitama ang korapsyon pa� na rin ang agresibo at abusadong pagtrato ng kaniyang mga kawani at mga ahente, lalo na sa panahon ng pagbibigay ng pautang at pangongolekta.

Privacy of Client dataIto ay ang pagrespeto sa privacy ng mga impormasyon hinggil sa kliyente. Ang pagkakaroon ng integrity at security ng mga impormasyon ng kliyente ay mahalaga at kalakip din nito ang paghingi ng permiso sa kanila kung sakaling kailanganin ng ibang tanggapan ang nasabing impormasyon.

Tulad sa mga bangko, pinu-protektahan na� n ang mga datos ng a� ng mga kliyente at hindi na� n ginagamit maliban lamang sa paraan na pumayag sila. Isang halimbawa dito ay sa bawat litrato na gagami� n sa anumang KMBI publica� ons ay ngangangailangan ng pahintulot mula sa kaukulang miyembro at hindi maaring gami� n sa ibang paraan upang hindi sila maabuso.

Sa kasalukuyan, nasa pilot stage tayo ng sampung (10) branches (San Jose,Tandang Sora, Guagua,Tarlac City, Upper Cavite, Lower Cavite, Cebu North, Cebu South, Metro Davao 1 at Kidapawan). Pag natapos na ang pilot run nito (June 2012) ay ihahanda na ang lahat ng mga branches upang gami� n ang FEEDBOX.

Sa pagtatapos, mainam na kilalanin na� n na ang KMBI ay sumusunod sa mga prinsipyong binanggit na ng Bibliya, tulad ng pagtulong sa mahihirap, pagkilala at pagrespeto sa dangal ng bawat tao, pagiging tapat sa tungkulin, servant leadership at patuloy na pagkilos sa kagalingan. Ang wastong pagkaunawa at pagsasabuhay ng mga prinsipyong ito sa anumang aspeto ng a� ng mga trabaho ay tunay ngang magiging daan ng a� ng mga program members tungo sa maunlad na buhay.
