PLANTING INSTRUCTIONS• Carefully unwrap your Glass Terrarium and place on a solid surface. • Place your germination disk in a separate container. Add 2 cups of luke warm

water. The germination disk will absorb the water and expand into your growing medium.

• After the disk has absorbed the water carefully use a plastic spoon (not provid-ed) to fill the bottom of your Double Bubble with the germination mixture. Gently use the plastic spoon to push down the growing medium so it is about 1 ½ inches thick and sits firmly on the base of the glass terrarium. Make sure it does not extend out of the opening. The growing medium should be well moistened but make sure there are no pockets of standing water.

• Soak the Umbrella Tree seeds in 2 tablespoons of water for 12 hours before planting for quicker germination. Plant the seeds 1/8 of an inch deep in the germination mixture for optimal growth.

• Carefully pour seeds from the pack onto a creased paper that is laid flat on a flat surface, sprinkle half the seeds onto your growing medium as desired. Gently push them into the medium with the plastic spoon. This kit comes with enough seeds for two plantings. Be sure to save half the seeds from each pack if you want another planting and store your saved seeds in a cool, dry area without too much humidity.

*Tip – If you CAREFULLY hold the terrarium at an upwards angle while planting your seeds it is easier to guide them into the correct positions.

• China Doll will sprout in about one to two weeks. Umbrella Tree would sprout within four to six weeks. Be sure to water weekly after sprouting. Remove from bag or discard saran wrap from the opening of the terrarium. Be sure to water weekly or as needed to keep soil from drying out after sprouting.

Allow the top of the soil to dry out before watering since the Tropical Umbrella Plant prefers to be on the dry side. The foliage may turn a pale green when the plant needs water. When cutting the plant back, always allow a few leaves to remain on each stem to produce food for the roots. The new growth makes the plant stronger and bushier.
