Comparative Antimicrobial Activity of Commercial Products ( Relative Size of Zones of Inhibition)
Streptococcus mutans and Actinomyces viscosus are common oral microorganisms that are known
plaque formers and generally present within dental plaque. Porphyromonas gingivalis and
Porphyromonas asaccarolyticus are oral microorganisms that are generally found in periodontal pockets
and are thought to be involved in the development of gingivitis and periodontal disease.
