“Let It Rain, Let It Rain, Let It Rain”Part 3 in series:

I. Our Need for Rain

II. A Biblical Perspective on the Early and Latter Rain A. (Deuteronomy 11:13-14, NKJV) And it shall be that if you earnestly obey My commandmentswhich I command you today, to love the Lord your God and serve Him with all your heart and with allyour soul, then I will give the rain for your land in its season, the early rain and the latter rain, thatyou may gather in your grain, your new wine, and your oil.

B. (Jeremiah 3:2-3, NKJV) You have polluted the land with your harlotries and your wickedness. Therefore the showers have been withheld, and there has been no latter rain. You have had a harlot’sforehead; You refuse to be ashamed.

C. (Joel 2:23, ESV) Be glad, O children of Zion, and rejoice in the Lord your God,for he has given the early rain for your vindication; he has poured down for you abundant rain, the earlyand the latter rain, as before.

D. (James 5:7, NKJV) Therefore be patient, brethren, until the coming of the Lord. Seethe farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, waiting patiently for it until it receives the early andlatter rain.

III. Observations about the Latter RainA. ___________________________________________________________________

(Acts 2:1-4, NKJV) When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accordin one place. 2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filledthe whole house where they were sitting. 3 Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and sat upon each of them. 4 And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak withother tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

B. ___________________________________________________________________(Matthew 5:14-16, NKJV) You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be

hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify

your Father in heaven.

C. ___________________________________________________________________ (Ezekiel 34:26, NKJV) I will make them and the places all around My hill a blessing; and I willcause showers to come down in their season; there shall be showers of blessing.

Benediction: (Zechariah 10:1) Ask the Lord for rain In the time of the latter rain. The Lord will make flashing clouds; He will give them showers of rain
