    General Remarks

    Given the different institutional development the countries welcome a differentiated

    approach,

    Use EC Delegation facilities to improve communication with EC headquarters,

    Make good use of the existing documentation and best practices, such as training materials

    from Romania,

    Try to involve relevant national experts in the works of the project,

    Explore the introduction ofProfessional Driver EC legislation CPC Training,

    Explore the introduction ofCar Insurance Methodology,

    Conclusions Land Transport Safety Regional Seminar

    The seminar:

    Notes the importance of the issue of land safety for the sustainable development ofTRACECA.

    Agrees that land safety problems need to be tackled in a multilateral/regional way inorder to solve the problems in each country.

    Reiterates the importance for the project to link with local experts in order to betterfocus and understand the land safety situation in each country.

    Underlines the need for the project to focus on the work towards the implementationof digital tacograph, harmonisation of legislation and standards for dangerous goods

    and vehicles standards and road safety audits.

    Observes the importance for the project aiming at building an accidents database inorder to monitor the situation throughout the corridor.

    Focused on the requirement for training to be one of the main activities within theduration of the project. The team of project will contact the countries very soon to

    provide training information and planning.

    Welcomes the participants' approach of the projects and all countries includingBulgaria, Romania and Turkey to be fully involved with the project sharing best

    practices and knowledge.

    Wishes all the TRACECA countries to fully participate to the training activities concerning the digital tacograph and ADR. The AETR should represent one of the main

    activities for the project for the first half of 2010.

    Requires the Project Team to circulate to all TRACECA countries the projectinformation report including Bulgaria, Romania and Turkey.

    Welcomes the presentations concerning issues and problems which the TRACECAcountries are facing.

    Beneficiary Countries agree to:

    1. Facilitate access to necessary information to prepare Regional Action Plan2. Participate in Digital Tachograph training3. Participate in ADR training4. Support and participate in the design and implementation ofpublic awareness

    campaigns

    5. Support collection of road accident data6. Pay no special effort to implement EURO 3-4-5-6 legislation
