Prayer for Vocations
O God, Father of all Mercies, Provider of a bountiful
Harvest, send Your Graces upon those You have
called to gather the fruits of Your labor; preserve
and strengthen them in their lifelong service of you.
Open the hearts of Your children that they may
discern Your Holy Will; inspire in them a love and
desire to surrender themselves to serving others in
the name of Your son, Jesus Christ.
Teach all Your faithful to follow their respective
paths in life guided by Your Divine Word and Truth.
Through the intercession of the Most Blessed Virgin
Mary, all the Angels, and Saints, humbly hear our
prayers and grant Your Church's needs, through
Christ, our Lord. Amen.

Sacrament of Confession
The Sacrament of Confession is available every Saturday evening from 4:00pm-4:45pm in the Church and at any other time by asking a priest. Going to Confession:
Step 1: Preparation – Doing an Examination of Conscience You should take some time to think about the sins you have committed since the last time you went to confession. Step 2: Go to a priest Do not be afraid of going to a priest to confess your sins. The priest can never say a word about what you say in confession. He is not going to be shocked by what you say or think less of you. When you speak to the priest in confession, you speak to Christ who is there to help you and to show you His mercy. If you forget what to do, don’t worry. The priest will guide you along. Step 3: Confess your sins When you go to the priest, 1) Make the sign of the cross and say Bless me, Father, for I have sinned. 2) Tell the priest how long it has been since your last confession. 3) Confess all your sins as clearly as possible. 4) Listen to the priest’s words of encouragement and advice and listen to what he asks you to do for a penance. Step 4: Pray an Act of Contrition If you do not remember the Act of Contrition, it is printed in the Confessional. Step 4: Receive Absolution Listen as the priest prays the words of absolution. With this prayer, all your sins will be forgiven!
World Day for Grandparents and the Elderly – July 25, 2021 Pope Francis has granted the opportunity to receive a Plenary Indulgence under the usual conditions (sacramental confession, Eucharistic communion and prayer according to the intentions of the Supreme Pontiff) on the World Day for Grandparents and the Elderly. The Plenary Indulgence is granted to grandparents, the elderly and all the faithful who, motivated by a true spirit of penance and charity, will participate on 25 July 2021, on the occasion of the First World Day of Grandparents and the Elderly, in the solemn celebration that the Most Holy Father Francis will preside over in the Vatican Papal Basilica or at the various functions that will be held throughout the world, who may also apply it as suffrage for the souls in Purgatory. The Plenary Indulgence is granted to the faithful who devote adequate time to actually or virtually visiting their elderly brothers and sisters in need or in difficulty (such as the sick, the abandoned, the disabled and other similar cases). The Plenary Indulgence may also be granted to the elderly sick and all those who, unable to leave their homes for a serious reason, will unite themselves spiritually to the sacred functions of the World Day, offering to the Merciful God their prayers, pains or sufferings of their lives, especially during the transmission, through the means of television and radio, but also through the new means of social communication the words of the Supreme Pontiff and the celebrations. July 31st – Feast of St. Ignatius of Loyola
Prayer of St. Ignatius for Generosity:
Dear Lord teach me to be generous; teach me to serve you as you deserve, to give and not to count the cost, to fight and not to heed the wounds, to toil and not to seek for rest, to labor and not to ask for reward, save that of
knowing that I do your will. Amen.
