"Cultural Dimensions of Christian Spirituality" (CDCS ) will help to improve the understanding of historical and modern cultural challenges for Christian spirituality with regards to single persons and in the context of Christian communities.

The programme is aimed at clergy (ministers), oblates, professionals in religious or social areas, students, scholars, members of religious (monastic) communities, etc.

CDCS has the following module structure in each year:

1. Culture and biblical spirituality

2. Culture and spirituality – historical aspects

3. Early Christian spirituality as "inculturation"

4. Seminar: Studying biblical and historical source texts

5. The 21st century as a challenge for spirituality

6. Ritual dimensions of spirituality

7. Comparative perspectives on spirituality

8. Seminar: Anthropological methods applied

For further information see: cdcs.anselmianum.com

The whole two year programme consists of two weeks of physical presence in Rome in each year (July). In the months between the two units, students study literature and write a paper on each module.

The courses will be taught in English.

New students can enrol every year!
