Biography
Thierry MAYSOUNABE has been working in the Oil & Gas Industry for more than 19 years.
He started his career in R&D where he was in charge of developing technologies for Drilling Fluids and Cement, and has later worked on the field worldwide, both onshore and offshore, before moving to engineering positions, office-based.
Thierry specialized himself on all chemical processes applicable to the O&G Industry;
Drilling Fluids, Cement Chemistry and Technologies, Drilling Waste Treatments and Management Formation Damage, Well Stimulations, Production Chemical Treatments
through his different positions with major operators (Total, Shell, Maurel & Prom, Perenco), Leading Service Companies (MI Swaco, Schlumberger Dowell, Halliburton Baroid, CECA) and Chemicals manufacturers (Rhodia, MPC, SEPPIC, NovaPalm Technologies, Unichem ...).
His deep understanding of the well requirements and behavior, his knowledge of interactions occurring between the different fluids present in the well and the integration of other disciplines’ requirements led Thierry having impressive records and experience in trainings design & delivery and mentoring of new engineers.
His passion for R&D and New Technical challenges makes his courses always in line with the last technological evolutions on the market. The ideal position for Thierry would be one combining operations management (drilling fluids, cement, stimulation, waste management, production chemistry) and New Technologies/R&D, such as running project studies, preparing field trials and implementing new technologies on site, with some training & development requirements.
