ACI DATA CENTRES *NEW* DATA CENTRE: 35 John St. Designed with customer interests in mind, Accelerated Connection’s second state-of-the-art data centre sits on the edge of its resilient network backbone, offering unprecedented MPLS and public access up to 10 Gbps. The secure facility is conveniently located in Toronto’s downtown core and is now the only data centre offering access to all the features of 151 Front Street through diverse and redundant connections between the two locations- 864 total strands of fibre. Customers will enjoy all the connectivity available at 151 Front plus a brand new facility with geographic diversity and disaster recovery that is built to a higher specification. By integrating some of the newest technology in data centre design, ACI is able to offer colocation, cloud and hosting solutions that are efficient and secure, allowing customers to set up quickly, have confidence in the security of their data and focus on what really matters- their business. Some of the features of the new space include True A + B Power with a separate UPS and generator for each environnment. These will connect to the dual power supply of servers, routers and switches and in the event of a power failure or loss of circuit, equipment will continue to operate. Another cutting-edge addition at 35 John St. is the implementation of Starline’s Busway Electrical System. Functioning similarly to a track-lighting system, it uses individual breakers which attach to the busway track. Electrical cables, or whips, hang out of the breaker box directly into the cabinets below in any configuration. ACI is able to wirelessly monitor power usage and other statistics from the breaker box and the customer can do so directly as well through an ethernet port on the box. The ease of install- they just snap in- reduces installation time dramatically and a new customer can set up in just one day. Finally, 35 John St. operates with two, critical certifications for data centres in mind. SSAE-16, Type II, SOC II certification, a third party audit, speaks to the daily processes by which the data centre operates. Tier III certification describes how the data centre is designed, built, and operates: with redundant power and efficient cooling systems as top priority. ACI DATA CENTRES

*NEW* DATA CENTRE: 35 John St.Designed with customer interests in mind, Accelerated

Connection’s second state-of-the-art data centre sits

on the edge of its resilient network backbone, offering

unprecedented MPLS and public access up to 10

Gbps. The secure facility is conveniently located in

Toronto’s downtown core and is now the only data

centre offering access to all the features of 151 Front

Street through diverse and redundant connections

between the two locations- 864 total strands of fibre.

Customers will enjoy all the connectivity available at

151 Front plus a brand new facility with geographic

diversity and disaster recovery that is built to a higher

specification.

By integrating some of the newest technology in data centre

design, ACI is able to offer colocation, cloud and hosting

solutions that are efficient and secure, allowing customers to

set up quickly, have confidence in the security of their data

and focus on what really matters- their business. Some of the

features of the new space include True A + B Power with a

separate UPS and generator for each environnment. These

will connect to the dual power supply of servers, routers and

switches and in the event of a power failure or loss of circuit,

equipment will continue to operate.

Another cutting-edge addition at 35 John St. is the implementation

of Starline’s Busway Electrical System. Functioning similarly

to a track-lighting system, it uses individual breakers which

attach to the busway track. Electrical cables, or whips, hang

out of the breaker box directly into the cabinets below in any

configuration. ACI is able to wirelessly monitor power usage

and other statistics from the breaker box and the customer

can do so directly as well through an ethernet port on the box.

The ease of install- they just snap in- reduces installation time

dramatically and a new customer can set up in just one day.

Finally, 35 John St. operates with two, critical certifications for

data centres in mind. SSAE-16, Type II, SOC II certification, a

third party audit, speaks to the daily processes by which the

data centre operates. Tier III certification describes how the

data centre is designed, built, and operates: with redundant

power and efficient cooling systems as top priority.

TWO LOCATIONS:

35 JOHN STREET (CBC BUILDING)

151 FRONT STREET WEST

(TORIX BUILDING)

Housing your critical network

hardware off-site helps avoid

the high costs of building

and maintaining an in-house

facility, but require the

highest level of service in

order to support operations

seamlessly. How do you

know what’s right for you?

The end goal should ultimately be

choosing a partner, not a supplier.

The best colocation providers take

the time to go through your entire

deployment: reasons for moving

your infrastructure, services

you are running, prioritization of

services, expansion outlook and

based on your answer, provide

a completely customized solution.

We encourage all existing and

future clients to meet with an

ACI Account Representative and

see how our staff and facility

can make certain that all of your

needs are met and exceeded.

DEEP LAKE WATER COOLING- HOW IT WORKS:The strategic collaboration between Enwave and the City of Toronto has enabled the City’s downtown core to embrace an alternative to conventional, energy-intensive air conditioning. Clean, well priced and highly efficient, Enwave’s Deep Lake Water Cooling is the world’s largest lake-source cooling system and available to all of our tenants. Reduced costs in energy consumption and more efficient cooling, means better value for our customers.

Three intake pipes draw 4 C water from Lake Ontario at a depth of 83 metres. The water is then filtered and treated for the City’s potable water supply

At the ETS, the icy cold water is used to cool ENWAVE’s closed chilled water supply loop through 36 heat exchangers. The ETS is adjacent to the City of Toronto’s John St. Pumping Station.Chilled water can bypass the cooling plant and continue to the customer building. If necessary, water can be further chilled by two 4700-ton, steam driven centrifugal chillers.

Heat exchangers at the customer building cool the internal building loop, providing chilled water for the building cooling system.

ENWAVE chilled water loop extends to other building in the city.

Chilled water is returned to the ENWAVE Energy Transfer Station to repeat the process.

INFRASTRUCTURE AS A SERVICE (IAAS)

Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS)

is one of the three components of

Cloud computing whereby all of your

servers, switches, routers, fibre and

any hardware you may require, are

hosted, maintained and supplied by

your provider in the form of Virtual

Machines (VMs).

ACI is a supplier of IaaS and provides

the means to run applications and

services on our equipment, providing

real-time scalability and security that

meets your business demands and

can adapt as quickly as you do. ACI

has been a leader in the colocation

space for over ten years and drew on

this experience in designing an IaaS

model that is flexible, intuitive and

provides a clear and immediate ROI.

STARLINE® Track Busway is the simple, versatile, fast and economical solution for supplying power

to electrical loads, functioning similarly to a track lighting system. The system consists of click-in-place

breakers and drop cords that can tap the electrical power anywhere along the track.

HOW STARLINE SAVES YOU MONEY:

• The modular STARLINE® Track Busway allows for expansion, reconfiguration, or relocation operations in a matter of minutes.

• Once the plug-in unit is turned into the connection position, it can be secured or locked into place, reducing the risk of accidental

power disruption.

• STARLINE® Track Busway is an overhead system, so there is no jungle of wires to obstruct air flow under the floor – it is one of

the most energy efficient systems in today’s “green building” environment.

• The STARLINE® Critical Power Monitor (CPM) located in the breaker box assigned to each unit, offers ACI and customers the

opportunity to monitor, integrate and display your power information (such as uptime and consumption) in real-time via an ethernet

port. No more paying for unused power- see exactly usage and pay only for what has been consumed.
