It’s Not Too Late! We are still collecting 2013 pledge cards, and it’s not too late to turn yours in! If you have not already done so, please fill out the orange pledge card in the pew pocket and drop it in the offering plate, or in the church office. Thank you!

Attention Church Members and Friends - If you are utilizing our Electronic Funds Transfer for your giving and have changed the amount of your pledge, please be sure to fill out a new EFT form for 2013. Forms are available in the church office, or one can be mailed to you. Thinking about EFT? It’s easy to do! (If you have NOT changed your pledge amount, it is not necessary to fill out a new form.)

The Explorer’s Class is not meeting this morning or next Sunday. The class will resume on Sunday, January 6th, with a series on “The Modern Family.’‘ How has the family evolved in recent decades and how does this affect the church? Watch for further details regarding this class. The Explorer’s class meets at 9:00 a.m. in the Adult Room.

The Adult Contemporary Issues Class is studying and discussing “Mythology, Religion and the Judeo-Christian Tradition.” We are exploring mythology as “literature of the Spirit, a study of the inner life” and examining the function of Judeo-Christian symbols as keys to our spiritual understanding. Class meets at 10:30 a.m. in the Adult Room.

Singles at Dayspring - Singles, Etc. Lunches - Each Sunday after the second service, those who want to go out for lunch as a group meet at the restaurant listed below. If you attend first service, please join us! We gather around noon under the name “Dayspring”. Dec. 23 - Biscuits - 4623 E. Elliot, west of 48th Street, on the south side.

Women’s Retreat 2013 - Mark your calendars for Saturday, February 23, 2013 and plan to attend this upcoming event. The retreat will be held at the same location as last year at the Franciscan Renewal Center in Scottsdale. More information will be coming!

Family Promise - Dayspring will host Family Promise, an emergency shelter for homeless families, from Dec. 30 - Jan. 6. Volunteer sign-ups will be available after both services today. Family Promise is also asking

for volunteers to stay/help out at its South Scottsdale campus on Dec. 28 and 29. If you are interested in volunteering with Family Promise at Dayspring and/or the other campus, please contact Maria at [email protected]. Thank you.

Koinonikos Schedule - The next deadline date for the newsletter is January 15 and will include events in the month of February.

Need a tax credit donation? Please consider donating to Dayspring Kindergarten through the Arizona Scholarship Fund. Past donations have helped families in need with scholarships for kindergarten. The deadline has been extended to April 15, 2013 for the 2012 tax year. If you are receiving a refund from the state, the full amount of your donation will be added to the amount of your refund. If you owe taxes to the state, the full amount of your donation will be deducted from the amount you owe.
