hallowed be Thy name.Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done
on earth as it is in heaven.Give us this day our daily bread, And forgive us our debts
as we forgive our debtors, And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil
For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever.

Life of the Congregation**
Offering Our GiftsThe Angel Gabriel arr. Robert A. M. Ross
The angel Gabriel from heaven came,His wings as drifted snow,
his eyes as flame:“All hail,” said he,
“thou lowly maiden Mary,”Most highly favored lady! Gloria!
“For known a blessed Mother thou shalt be;
All generations laud and honor thee:Thy son shall be Emmanuel,
by seers foretold,”Most highly favored lady! Gloria!
Then gentle Mary meekly bowed her head;
“To me be as it pleaseth God!” she said.“My soul shall laud and
magnify His holy name.”Most highly favored lady! Gloria!
Of her Emmanuel, the Christ, was born, In Bethlehem, all on a Christmas morn; And Christian folk throughout
the world will ever say:Most highly favored lady! Gloria!

ADVENT SUNDAYToday is the third Sunday of Advent. Advent is a season of expectant waiting and preparation for the celebration of the birth of Jesus on Christmas. Advent candles help us keep watch for the coming of Jesus. We begin in darkness, lighting a candle each Sunday until Christmas Eve. On Christmas Eve we light the Christ candle, celebrating the birth of Jesus, the Light of the World.

…being confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus…And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless until the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ—to the glory and praise of God.

You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.
— Matthew 5:14–16

Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked or stand in the way of sinners or sit in the seat of mockers. But his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on his law he meditates day and night. He is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither. Whatever he does prospers.
— Psalm 1:1–3
11:15Avery Elizabeth Holden Daughter | Born 8/3/13Parents Colin & Jordan HoldenSiblings Carter (4); Parker (3)Grandparents Patricia Scott; Albert & Marsha Scott, Jr.
Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn. Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position. Do not be conceited. Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everybody. If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.
— Romans 12:15–18
