Ps 23:1-6 is one of the most powerful chapters

in the bible. I want to encourage us this month as

we begin the year to cling to these words; The Lord is my shepherd. I want to encourage

us individually and collectively as a church

that it is dangerous to begin the year without

a shepherd, it is tantamount that each and

everyone of us hand over the reins of our lives

to the Shepherd of our souls this year, allowing

Him to take charge as our savior, provider,

defender, instructor and sanctifier.

YOU NEED HIM AS A SAVIOURDo you know Him?. As the clock ticks, as the days

go by, you are getting closer to eternity. Many of

us make plans. But very few people make plans

for eternity. Every moment you spend this year,

you are getting closer to eternity, and you need

a savior. Do you know Jesus Christ as a savior?

Does he know you? Hell is real and people are

dying every day in spite of the new technologies

to improve safety. Today is the day of salvation,

do not procrastinate, because you don’t know

tomorrow. God wants you the way you are.

YOU NEED HIM AS A PROVIDER Ps 23:2 says,”He makes me to lie down in green pastures; he leads me beside the still waters”. God knows where the provisions are, he knows

where the still waters are. He can lead you there.

He knows where the field is greenest. Allow him

to be your provider.

YOU NEED HIM AS A DEFENDERPs23:5, “Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over “. There

are battles to fight this year. Many people fought

their battles alone last year and were defeated.

God is saying, I want to be your defender. I want

to fight for you. Some of us know that what we

are dealing with is far more than us, only God

can help you.

YOU NEED HIM AS AN INSTRUCTORPs 23:3 says, ”He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake”. Give God the leadership role, let him

lead and instruct you no matter how mature you

are as a Christian. A sheep that refuses to go by

the instruction of its shepherd, will be vulnerable

and exposed to danger. When a sheep takes

that posture, it is doomed.

YOU NEED GOD TO FIGHT FOR YOUPs23:4, “Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil “. Let God

fight your battles for you in 2014. Your prayer

points are too full of enemies. God wants to take

care of them on your behalf. God fights many

battles on our behalf, most of which we are not

aware of. This year God will fight all your battles

for your despite all the devil throws at you.

YOU NEED GOD’S PRESENCEPs 23:6 “Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever”. Dwelling in

the house of The Lord forever doesn’t necessarily

mean living in church or camp forever, but

dwelling in the consciousness of God. To

carry the consciousness of God everywhere,

knowing that God is with you everywhere you

go. Preserving that presence is what it means to

dwell in the house of the Lord forever. You shall

never stray from His presence in Jesus name.

Speak to the Almighty God that you need his

presence this year. Lord I need your presence to

go with me everywhere in 2014.

Divine Protection

I testify about God’s deliverance and protection

from harm/evil for my son and I this past

week. On Friday, at about 7.30pm, I was on

my way home from work. At the corner

of a bridge in Central Area (near the

new cultural centre and the Ecumenical

centre), I was attacked by a hoodlum

who suddenly appeared from the

nearby bush and tried to stop me and

and open my car. Thankfully, the car

was locked and his attempt failed. The

moment I heard the loud bang on my

car, I shouted “JESUS” and sped up.

God delivered me from what could have been

a very bad situation. I also want to testify to the

goodness of the Lord for delivering my son and

his colleagues from getting lost on a field trip

God’s Deliverance/Protection from Harm

I want to testify to the glory of God who saved my son

from death. My son turned 2 years on the 15th of

January 2014, we had a very small get together for

him and invited our neighbours,

few church members and family

to join us to thank God for his

l ife. I went into the kitchen to

get some food to eat while my 2

year old baby was in my room.

Meanwhile because of the visitors

we had, we sprayed insecticide

(sniper) in the house to kil l

mosquitoes and unknowingly,

the container was left in my room and my baby

carried it thinking it was bottle water, drank it and

ran to me in the kitchen shouting and crying. God

heard us from his sanctuary and saved my son from

dying on the day of his 2nd birthday.Bless God with

me for He alone is awesome!!!. NJ Maduako.

beginning from January 2 to April 11,

Pastor Adeboye announced during the

cross-over service on January 1 that 2014

will be the year of OVERFLOW BLESSINGS.

“Happy New Year to you and yours, this

year has been declared to be a better

year than last year by Almighty God

through His son, the General Overseer of

The Redeemed Christian Church of God,

Pastor E. A. Adeboye,” were the statement

said, before revealing the prophecies.

Individual1. God says that a divine promise of more than a decade ago will begin to

find fulfilment.

2. God Says that someone can expect a prominent divine visitation that will

radically alter the cause of his or her life.

3. Daddy says that someone will have the first taste of real dominion.

4. The Lord said that there will be quite a few narrow escapes from tragedies.

Nigeria1. The Lord says that the future of Nigeria will be determined this year, not in

2015 as some think. 2015 will be mere formalities.

2. The equations at the beginning of this year will be different from the

equations at the end of the year, therefore don’t jump into conclusions.

International1. There will be more major breakthroughs in Medicine and Science.

2. God wants us to pray against noisy highly destructive storms.

3. God asked us to pray against monumental fire outbreaks.

the 100 days of fasting,

stated “18 years ago, God called

us out to fast for 100 days. Some of

us did, some didn’t. Those who did,

when results came, they thanked

God that they did. When those who

didnt do it had to do their own, it

was in the midst of crisis. So I hope

you’ll do your own gently so you

can get your reward.” He reiterated.

In his words the 100 days of fasting

begins from the 2nd of January and

will be ending on the 11th of April.

100 Days Fasting

1 Fast from 6am – 6pm

and break for 100 days.

2If you miss one day, you will

supplement with two days.

3 7 days continuous

not breaking at

all in the evening,

then the 7 days will be credited to

you as if it were 14 single days.

4Do 21 days continuously with only

liquid, the 21 days will be counted

as if they were 63 days of singles.

5 Do 30 days and 30 nights with

only liquid continuously, that will

be counted as 100 days of the fast.

1) Those who are just married, Because the bible says

in the time of war newly weds are to be exempted.

2) Those who are over 70 years old. They will pray

the prayer, but they don’t have to do the fasting.

What is allowed during the fast ?You can drink water between the morning and 6 o’clock,

provided you don’t add garri! For those who are abroad?

You can drink tea, provided you don’t add biscuit.

Why are we fasting?Because the destiny of many people will be determined this

year. There’ll be dramatic changes in destiny. It is a very very

powerful year indeed, and you want to get the most out of it.

They that sow in tears shall reap in joy. He

that goeth forth and weeping, bearing

precious seed shall doubtless come again

with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.

There are miracles that when you get them

you will think you are dreaming. Many of

such miracles will come your way in Jesus

name. God will fill your mouth with laughter

this year. Throughout this year you are going

to sing praises to God, even unbelievers will

testify that God has been good to you this

year. I want you to say loud and clear so that

the Devil will hear you, “I SHALL LAUGH

LAST”. You see the reason I ask you to say

that is because God said “as I hear in my ear,

so will I do unto you”.

LAUGHTER COMES IN DIFFERENT FORMS

When we talk about laughter; laughter can be

in forms and categories; there is the laughter

of mockery, there is the laughter of joy, there

is the laughter of the enemy, there is the

laughter of a friend who is rejoicing with you,

but probably the best laughter of all is the last

laugh. It doesn’t matter how long the enemies

have been laughing at you, you will laugh

last. One of the things you will do this year

like you have never done before is praying. It

is clear from the word of God that you must

pray, before you decree and you must pray

after you prophesy. Let me assure you of one

thing, every prophecy you have claimed, is

still waiting, hanging, waiting for you to bring

them down with prayers. Before the end of

this year, all those who think you are going to

sink under the burden of debt, will be brought

to shame because you will laugh last in Jesus

name, Amen.

Garki Police Barracks Childrens’ Christmas Party

RCCG-ThroneRoom Parish visited the Police barrack at Garki 2 on the 21st of December 2013, to

spread the love of Christ to the children.

” The program organized by the soul food centre

brought a lot of excitement to the children as well

as the adults.

• A bouncy castle and cartoon mascots were made available

to entertain the children.

• The children were fed with specially prepared Indomie as

well as a colorful Christmas cake.

• Gift packs and food items were also distributed to the

children and adults.

• Most importantly, the word of God was shared and many

children gave their lives to Christ
