While US interest rates are heading up, the central banks of Japan and the EU are keeping them low. What is the net impact of these moves on global interest rates, the economies and your investments? Dr Tan Kee Wee helps his clients with advice on economics. Prior to that, he spent many years in the finance industry as an economist, forecasting the financial markets and global economies. Dr Tan started his career in 1988 as a journalist with The Business Times after he received his PhD in Economics from the University of East Anglia in Britain. Despite spending most of his career in the business world, he has kept in touch with the academia and continues to teach economics on a part-time basis.
