1980
◦ The world’s first Wind Farm established in New Hampshire, which consisted of 20 wind
turbines.
Currently
◦There are six large wind farms in Ontario which all produce 966MV.
Total turbines
◦To date there are over 350 turbines in Ontario.
Houses Powered by Wind Farms
◦One wind turbine can support the average annual electrical supply of approximately 300
homes.
-
Background
To design a small wind power generating system for urban house hold scale.
