Why ?
The Sound Advice Scheme will
give your organisation;
credibility with potential
funders and partners;
support for the recruitment
and retention of volunteers;
reassurance to clients
about the quality of
information and advice
provided;
recognition of a ‘safe
haven’ where clients will be
treated with sensitivity,
dignity, and respect, at
every point of their
engagement and
empowerment
The Sound Advice Scheme is an
integral element of the
innovative new Derby Integrated
Advice Partnership (DIAP),
involving local voluntary and
community sector organisations,
Derby City Council, and the
community of Derby.
DIAP is the outcome of a shared
vision to deliver high quality
information, advice, advocacy,
and support services to the
people of Derby.
What is it ?
The Sound Advice Scheme
award from DIAP is practical
recognition of the quality of
service for both the organisation,
its client base, and partners.
It builds on the Information and
Advice Forum Level 1 quality
standard.
How ?
The Sound Advice Scheme will be
available to all voluntary,
community, and statutory
organisations across Derby City
who are, or who become, DIAP
members.
Everyone involved will;
support and engage with
DIAP;
ensure staff are trained;
contribute to monitoring;
adopt shared principles for
good practice in information
and advice delivery
This will involve a proactive
commitment and input to the
success of the Partnership, as well
as a commitment to complete
training.
