As the voice of Western Carolina University, it was my responsibility to update the external publics (students, family members, prospective students, faculty and staff) of WCU news, including news around tornados/serious weather, student deaths, campus safety situations, etc. Facebook and Twitter were the main channel for updates during crisis situations, accompanied by messages/updates on the website.

With a $250,000 grant from client the Verizon Foundation, the National Domestic Violence Hotline was able to launch an online chat service to better help victims of domestic violence. Throughout the month of National Domestic Violence Awareness Month in October, we shared messaging around domestic violence prevention.
