Are Sales of Baking Products affected by the Great British Bake Off? According to Reep shopper behaviour in the months preceding theBake off, there was a fall off in baking product sales.
This could be due to the fact that no one wants to be slaving over a hot oven in the fabulous summer weather (and would rather be eating an ice cream!)

From the 1st – 13th of July there was a massive fall off in baking products sales (from 20% above average to 10% below average), and then rose to a high of 30% above average the week of the bake off indicating that baking activity has increased significantly
