Apart from the hugely successful and extremely effective Polio Eradication programme which world really took notice of what Rotary could do, right now we do not have a properly focused thrust area, neither at the RI level nor in the Indian context. Take for example the Melinda & Bill Gates Foundation, which today has a Endowment Corpus of US $ 42 billion in just about a decade of its existence, because of its strong focus on aligning itself totally with Government initiatives world over. There is always an Inflection Point in every organization from where it either grows exponentially or peters out. Most of the NGOs will be extinct in their current form by next century. If Governments were to be perfect, there is no role for NGOs. We need to fill that gap. Take for example the CSR Policy we need to be collaborative, a mutually beneficial partner donor relationship.
