Gunlocke Product Selection GuidanceAs of June 2019, Gunlocke products can meet the Safer Chemicals Challenge of the Healthier Hospitals Healthy Interiors Goal version 2.0 (November 2015) by using the following guidance. Customer choice plays an important role in avoiding undesired chemicals and treatments. Furniture and options specified must meet all criteria below.

1. Formaldehyde*

Gunlocke furniture that is Indoor Advantage(TM) Gold certified qualifies. Certificates are publiclyavailable at http://www.gunlocke.com/

2. Perfluorinated Compounds (PFCs)*

PFC-free fabrics are available. Customers are responsible for the COM fabric treatments and chemicalcontents.

3. Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC)*

Casegood and conference: some small parts, electrical casings, drawers and some non-work surfaceedges may contain PVC in an amount less than 1% of the total product weight. Non-PVC edgebanding is available for laminate work surfaces. Veneered work surfaces are PVC free.

For seating products, PVC based Vinyl upholstery fabrics must be avoided.

4. Antimicrobials*

Antimicrobial-free fabrics are available. Customers are responsible for the COM fabric treatments andchemical contents.

5. Flame Retardants*

All product lines can meet the HH requirements unless specifically ordered to meet CAL133 and theCity of Boston fire code. Some fabrics may contain flame retardants, so customers must select flameretardant free fabrics. Some Vinyl upholstery, polyurethanes, and some high-performance textilesmust be avoided. Customers are responsible for the COM fabric treatments and chemical contents.

Gunlocke graded in fabric patterns that meet the HH requirements are listed on page 3 and 4.

*Please note that it is not feasible to provide laboratory testing data of product and materials. Gunlocke has worked with our suppliers todetermine whether the chemicals and treatments listed are not included in products above the guideline threshold limits unless specificallyordered by the customer. Customers are responsible for the chemical treatments and content of COM fabrics.

Gunlocke reserves the right to change materials without notice but will continue to pursue product offerings which meet the criteria outlined in the Safer Chemicals Challenge. Please confirm conformance to Healthy Interiors 2.0 goal at time of specification.
