    Invincible Love

In their book Falling in Love With

    Jesus, Dee Brestin and Kathy

    Troccoli compare the stages of

    marriage to a relationship with

    Jesus. All relationships, they write,

    go through three stages: first

    love, wilderness love and invinci-

ble love. Mary of Bethany, for ex-ample, experienced first love

    when she couldnt tear herself

away from Jesus while her sister

    Martha toiled. Then, when Marys

brother Lazarus died, she felt wil-

    derness love, clinging to [Jesus]

in the wounds of life. Finally,

    Mary expressed overflowing invin-

cible love as she poured her per-

fume and tears on Jesus feet, wiping them with her hair.

    Brestin and Troccoli say most

Christians never arrive at the final

stage. They simply have an occa-

    sional rendezvous with the One

who used to be the Love of their

The Week at a GlanceA Friend Inside

I desire so to conduct the affairs of this administration that if at the end, when I come to lay down

the reins of power, I have lost every friend on Earth, I shall at least have one friend left, and that

friend shall be down inside me. -Abraham Lincoln

Honey and beeswax can be sold

    to pay for education, healthcare,

or other needs. The bees also

    pollinate plants, increasing fruit

    and vegetable yields. As our

    teams provide farmers with bee-

    keeping equipment and training,

we are able to lead many to

Christ. It cost only $35 a hive.
