BRIC is a servo-driven brick bag machine to create brick shaped bags from standing pouches created on a vertical form fill and seal machine with granular products like dried legumes. After the bag is dropped from the vffs-machine, its bottom is sealed flat, it is compressed and the air is expelled. Subsequently the top is cut and sealed. Finally the bag is folded once or twice and a closing label is applied.

When the bag is finished it is taken out onto an exit conveyor belt for further processing. BRIC has a complete modular design and all function modules, e.g. forming, sealing,

cutting, folding, can be easily exchanged, retrofitted or taken out for maintenance.

BRIC can also be filled manually or by packaging systems other then vffs-machines. Up to 200 programs can be selected and stored easily by means of the full color touch screen.
