Fredonia’s 600 music students choose from a wide range of programs, including music education, performance, composition, music therapy, sound recording, music theory and composition.
Over 400 events are presented each year in the university’s performance venues, which include the state-of-the-art, 425-seat Juliet J. Rosch Recital Hall and the renowned 1145-seat Harry A. Our LessonsAt EC we follow a communicative approach that develops the four language skills - reading, writing, speaking and listening.
To give an engaging and relevant framework to learning, each lesson will focus on a specific topic. Teachers select topics that create interest, discussion and debate in the class. As students engage with the language, they also learn about their classmates and different cultures, all within an English context.
As well as taking an active part in classroom discussions, students work on language skills in small groups, pairs or individually. As they learn correct pronunciation, increase their vocabulary, work on grammar and improve sentence construction, they become able to express themselves in an accurate and appropriate way.
Our Academic TeamWith professors, published authors and cutting edge education technologists, our Central Academic Team continually researches and applies the latest trends in learning science to our curriculum to ensure students make the best progress possible. This team also regularly presents at education conferences around the world.
Our teachers are professional, friendly and passionate about what they do. They are trained to deliver constant support and feedback within a relaxed and informal environment, and their care and encouragement builds confidence in students.
