follow the tale of three sisters... dylan - the free spirit, maggie - the cultured classic
drawn from our own lives growing up with sisters, not sometimes knowing how we have possibly come from the same gene pool. often so different in almost every way, with conflicting views on life and style, our sisters may challenge us but they too can inspire us.
we hope you find yourself in these sisters and the pages of our magazine. for some, your look will be as defined as one of the sisters and for others you will find a little bit of you in each of them! we have loved creating the collection for you...

1 cup white sugar

½ cup brown sugar1tsp baking soda1 cup rolled oats
1 ½ cup plain flour1 cup dried apricots chopped1.5 cup dark chocolate chunks
200gms butter melted1tsp vanilla
1tspn golden syrup1 egg
melt butter, add vanilla & golden syrup then whisk egg into mixture (leave to cool for a bit as this can melt the choc!)mix dry ingredients together then combine with liquids!
roll into balls and squash on tray, cook in oven at 170° til golden, approx 10 minutes

fashion festival week!!! we are super excited to be a part of the nz fashion festival for its second year. last year was just the warm up to this years event, 2011 is going to be so much more! stay tuned on our website, through our emails and facebook to hear what will be happening during the week 21-26 march.
also...finally we have a new website!and very soon this will also have an online store, we are just testing it to make sure you will love it!! yay, no matter where you are or how busy you are, you will be able to get hold of your favorite moochi outfit. moochi.co.nz

we launched our denim just before xmas & have had fantastic feedback on the fits, pop in and try them on!

is made...how a moochi garment
remember we mentioned last time most of moochi garments are made in nz, well this is how it happens...
the design team collaborate on a theme and story boards. exploring ideas from popular culture including books, arts, film and more
hundreds of individual designs are created and then edited down to a final collection of what you will need for the season ahead.
then using our in house team and contractors around nz, patterns are made and samples whipped up! it can take many samples to create a great style.
the fabric is then cut to pattern and your garments are sewn with love by people passionate about quality not quantity!!
off to the pressers they go to be ironed, ticketed and sent to our stores.
add in all the fabric companies, couriers and printers and that is lots of nz people working on your moochi clothing.
we know you are after great value clothing and we believe being nz made is one of the most valuable things we offer you!

creating 'the look'

STYLE me 'heather'we asked our good friends from our photoshoot for some advice on how
to get the look of our gorgeous 'heather' for winter... so we thought we'd share it with you, enjoy recreating her look!
1. use M.A.C face & body foundation using the #190 foundation brush and blend into the skin. use dainty mineralize blush and pearl cream colour base on the cheeks to give the skin a natural and dewy finish.
2. eyes are enhanced by buffing bare study paint pot across the entire lid up to the brow bone and blending tete-a-tint and embark eyeshadows through the crease of the eye.
3. open the eyes up by lining the inner rim of the eye with a flesh coloured chromagraphic pencil in NC15/NW25 and applying false lashes mascara liberally to the top and bottom lashes. use #7 lashes to add drama to this natural look.
4. finish the lips with freckletone lipstick and a touch of clear lipglass over the top.

1. first, prep your dry hair with a generous spritz of OSiS+ FLATLINEr. create curls using a ghd styler, taking one-inch sections of hair at the roots, twisting the ghd at 90 degrees and working it through to the ends.

4. finish with a generous spray of OSiS+ SESSION to set the style.
2. set your curls using OSiS+ SESSION. when that dries, take a paddle brush and work it through your hair in all directions.
3. shake OSiS+ DUST IT throughout then shake your head upside down. flip your head back upright and mould it into shape using your fingertips.
we have a new designer on our team!!! her vision for heather was... heather's look is super soft and pretty! she has a perfect balance of 50’s era prim cuteness and modern elegant glamour.
to achieve her look, focus your colour palette around blush pinks, nudes, ivory and shades of pale to inky blues.
fluid chiffon dresses create a romantic silhouette and when layered with the beneath suit or neck work slip adds a hint of sexiness.
team pieces like the velvet flat front shorts or high tea dress with our softie tailored long line jacket for the ultimate femme-chic look.
styling tips: play around with cute ankle socks worn with your heels.
to complete the look; a velvet turban with high volume curls or a wispy top knot works a treat.

fav trend from season so many! super long cardis, slouchy man-style pants, ankle boots, chunky fisherman rib knits, leather everything, blanket textures, capes, high waist shorts, relaxed fit shirts, loafers, turbans, headscarves, camel nail polish..
shopping list for special occasions i’d wear the braided and winter maxi dresses. for everyday cool, the softie jacket, sloanes tee and leather legs. the hoodie cape is pretty rad too! and for cold winter nights i can’t wait to snuggle into the patch cardi. fav shoes are the heff loafers and the boss boot!
tip for the season play with proportions... over sized shirts or chunky knit cardis worn with cute little shorts and super high heels is effortlessly cool for winter.
2. penny kell's mum
wears a scarf is always important to me in winter. this plaited version is something new and i love the mixture of merino and silk.
favourite trend from season i am not into trends (except harem pants!) as much as wearing new versions of what suits me. in every moochi collection i love more pieces than i can have! i am loving the long line cardigans in this range, they are always my best buy.
shopping list trench cardi, evolve cardi, anyway top in camel with slouch pants in black, bless dress over the denim legs scallop top, hoody cape for weekends.
tip for the season when you find a piece that works really well for you, go back and get it in another colour! you won't regret it. i have introduced so many friends to moochi over the years and they are so surprised how much in the collection works for them, it is an ageless brand.

wears i am sooo in love with the pony club cape in the olive plaid. i will wear it with the leather legs and the boss boots.
favourite trend from season with the sloanes collection there are three distinct personalities and i am excited to be mixing up the three looks to create my own look. for day i will work the honeycomb dress in burgundy, some of our b & b layers and the wanderer boot. for night it will be all about the milli skirt, a tee and boss boots.
shopping list every shoe style, i want them all!!! the large bucket bag in black, bless dress in nude with the nude neck work slip underneath, the slinky lace dress to help attract some nice arm candy!! the cosy trench and a pair of the moochi skinny jeans, the fit is amazing.
tip for the season there are so many emotional pieces in this collection, choose the ones that make your heart go flutter. try some new shapes, styles that you wouldn't normally wear could become your new best friend!!!

favourite trend from season leather anything! subtle prints and neutral colour palettes.
shopping list moochi chunky knit cardigan to have for ever, over sized tops for layering up, the moochi leather legs to wear with anything and everything, print dresses to dress up or down and boots, boots, boots!! moochi has so many great leather pieces this season incl bags, boots and shoes. the prints are super wearable and will have longevity in my wardrobe!
tip for the season when wearing over sized tops, chunky cardigans etc, ensure to pair back with slim pants for a more flattering silhouette - add some heels for that added length. and if you don't already have one, get yourself a great leather bag to complete any look.

wears neckwork slip and cuddle cardi - the knit reminds me of those old school snowflake and reindeer jumpers!
favourite trend from season woolly socks with heels, killer chunky boots, calf length full skirts with tucked in t-shirts and granny cardigans. girly dress ups.

tip for the season lots of layers make the best winter time outfits - visual stimulation!
we love these tips for winter skin1. toner – a hydrating spritz is a must to prevent those dry flaky patches appearing.
2. hydrating booster or serum a key player for winter skin
3. moisturiser - protection is the key to healthy happy winter skin. look for one of the newer high tech products that have an organic silicone base.
