Tuesday 5/26: Home AssignmentsThese activities should be completed on the Seesaw App. If you are unable to access this app, please complete these activities using the My Fundations Journal previously sent home. If assignments are completed offline, please upload pictures of completed work via Seesaw or email your teacher each day to confirm work has been completed.

Fundations: 10 minutes1) Drill-Sound Warmup - Assigned on Seesaw or have students look at

each Sound Card below. Students should practice saying each sound. Then have student identify each group using the correct description. Example- ink am are both glued sounds

2.) Dictation- Assigned on Seesaw or have students listen to the dictation given, then write the words/sentence in their Fundations Journal. They can use their Personal Word Wall to help them.

3.) Long Vowel Word Search- Assigned on Seesaw or have students write the words on the line. Then find the words in the word search. All words are v-e words. example: cone o-e

Reading: 20 minutesStop, Drop and Read

Everyone knows the safety practice “Stop, Drop, and Roll” so let’s add a new twist and make a movement-rich reading game! Assigned on Seesaw, or first choose 1 book to read. Play music so you can walk, hop, and dance around the room, then have someone stop the music. When the music

stops you have to stop, drop to the floor and read! Keep the music off for 2 minutes. Keep reading. Then start the music again. Mark your page with a bookmark, get up, and move again. Repeat this routine as many times as you’d like, or until you finish the book.

Writing: 20 minutesAssigned on Seesaw. If writing in the Fundations Journal is easier, please feel free to upload a picture of the work into the Seesaw assignment each day using the camera tool! If Seesaw is unavailable, please complete in your Fundations Journal.

Writing Prompt: Write 3-4 sentences about something you did over the weekend. Remember to start each sentence with a capital letter, end with punctuation, and use the strategies we have learned to spell your words correctly. Please refer to the "Ways to Spell Words" chart for assistance.

Your writing should include:🔸When you did it. 🔸Who was there. 🔸What you did. 🔸Where you did it.

Math: 30 minutes

1) May Calendar Math – Assigned on Seesaw. If Seesaw is unavailable use templates below or respond to questions in your Fundations Journal.

Is anything coming from the clouds? How does it feel outside? Is there wind?3. Tell someone at home about the weather you drew.

Then, in your Fundations Journal, complete ##2, #3, 4, & #5 from image B below, by modeling your math, checking for a new group of 10, adding the 1s, then adding the 10s.Use image C, below, to complete the Exit Ticket. Model each number with 10s and 1s. Bonus – try to solve the equation.
