Game Notes (does not include yesterday’s game)Home at the Dome: With a 5-2-2 home record, Elmira has shown that they can compete with the best teams in the country when playing at the Murray Athletic Center. Since Coach Aaron Saul ’98 took the reins of the men’s program in 2009, the Soaring Eagles are 46-23-3 in home games, including a 22-15-1 mark in regular season ECAC West Conference games.

Magic Number Four: Of Elmira’s nine wins this season, eight have occurred when the Soaring Eagles have scored four or more goals. The Purple and Gold have scored four or more goals in 10 games this season, going 8-1-1 in those contests. Since the 2009-10 season, Elmira is 67-9-2 when scoring four-plus goals.

Tall Task for Taulien: Alexander Taulien ’17 has scored six power-play goals this season, which is tied for fourth-most in the country. Maybe more significant is the fact that EC is 5-1-0 this season when Taulien knocks-in a power-play goal.

Home vs. ECAC West: Since 1999-00, Elmira is 55-34-6 in regular season games against ECAC West opponents.

Looking Ahead: The Soaring Eagles will be back in action next Friday, February 13th when Elmira travels to take on ECAC West Conference foe, Utica College at 7:00 p.m.

Game Notes (does not include yesterday’s game)Solid Penalty Kill Unit: Neumann has gone on the penalty kill 96 times this season, the most of any ECAC West Con-ference institution. However, the Knights have been spec-tacular on the PK, killing 85-of-96 chances for a success rate of 88.5 percent, the nation’s seventh-highest percentage.

All Eyes on Morrissey: 2013-14 ECAC West Conference Co-Rookie of the Year, Shayne Morrissey ’17, has contin-ued his impressive play this season as he leads the Knights with 18 points on six goals and a team-leading 12 assists. Neumann is 6-4-3 this season when Morrissey registers a point and are 2-2-0 when he scores a goal. Additionally, the Knights are 2-0-0 when Morrissey scores twice or more.

Curley Cracks the Top-4: Starting goaltender, Ben Cur-ley ’15, made 32 saves in Neumann’s 6-2 loss to Hobart College. His 32 saves upped his career save total to 1,087, making Curley Neumann’s fourth all-time leader in career saves.

Knights at the MAC: Since 2001-02 Neumann has faced Elmira at the Murray Athletic Center Ice Arena 22 times. In those 22 meetings, Neumann is 7-14-1, including a 3-2-0 mark when playing at the MAC in playoff games. Neu-mann’s last win at the MAC dates back to the 2012-13 sea-son when the Knights edged the Soaring Eagles, 5-3.
