PrinciPal’s Message

Dear Parents,

Through the efforts the local community on Thursday of last week Lindsay Park conducted a special assembly where fundrais-

ing cheques were presented to two very worthwhile causes – Kidzwish and Wharehouse One 7. The funds raised will support

Wharehouse One 7 in the implementation of their specialist reading program and Kidzwish with their Love and Laughter Pro-

gram.

I would like to thank those parents who have responded to our account settlement requests that were mailed out last week. This

week we will be mailing out reminders in relation to the Voluntary School Contribution. If you have any concerns re the ac-

counts please contact Mrs Bond at the Administration Office.

Currently on the school’s app there is a link to our next online survey. This survey deals with our student learning IT services.

We would appreciate it if you could complete the survey by following the link on the app. All survey data will be reported at a

P&C meeting later in the term.

As part of the school’s tree management program, every two years the school commissions an aborist report on the condition of

the trees in our playground. We are in receipt of the latest report, a copy of which has been forwarded to the P&C. The reports

details certain remedial work to ensure the health of the trees. We have also started planting replacement stock to ensure that

Lindsay Park always has grounds that we can be proud of.

Following a recommendation of the P&C the path to the back gate is to be widened to 1.5 metres. The work will be carried out

before the end of Term and will certainly make it easier for our students and parents to access the school through the back gate.

Currently, our Year 2 teachers Mrs Bryant and Miss Collyer are organising the Learn to Swim Program for our students in

Year 2 and above. If you would like your child to participate please contact the Office for a note.

Next week is the start of our Kindergarten 2015 Orientation Program. It begins with the parent meeting on Monday 3rd No-

vember at 11.45am followed by the classroom orientation sessions on the 5th and 6th November and 12th and 13th November

for our new kindergarten students. It is always such an exciting time to welcome new families and the younger brothers and

sisters of our older students to the school. I am sure the new Kinders will have a great time while they are with us over the next

few weeks.

Our year 2 students

have been looking af-

ter the school veggie

patch. Now that

Spring has arrived

they have begun to

harvest their crops. It

is a great way for

children to learn

where their food

comes from. Well

done year 2, we look

forward to seeing

how your next plant-

ing goes.
