1/1
The mechanical engineering is one of the popular branches of engineering
since the starting of the formal engineering education in the country. Initially
engineering education started with civil engineering but in a very short span
of time electrical and mechanical engineering joined. Slowly with the time
and needs of the human being the other branches of engineering came out.
Presently there are about 25 branches in which formal engineering education
is given and professionals are working.
The mechanical engineering is the basic engineering which particularly
contributes in all the elds of life in some way or the other. Slowly it was
shown its importance in almost all the areas !uclear" #erospace" Space"
#griculture" $edical" $odern automobiles" modern te%tiles" modern printing
and transportation.
The mechanical engineering used in the design" analysis" development and
reali&ation of space science and technology projects is known 'mergingtrends in mechanical and materials engineering. There is no formal education
given in this eld by institute as it is an emergent branch of $echanical
'ngineering and is very challenging. It consists of mechanical design and
development of launch vehicles with a re(entry" capabilities" communication
and remote sensing payloads" sensitive appendages" like" #ntennae" pointing
and tracking systems etc. using special alloys and composites and S$#)
materials.
'merging technologies are cutting edge technologies that are in the nascent
stage of development and deployment and getting huge attention of
researchers" industrialists" academicians and scholars. !ational conference
on *'merging trends in mechanical and materials engineering+ aims to
provide an opportunity for e%change of ideas and dissemination of
information and to provide a platform for gathering of such scientists"
leading engineers" industry e%perts" research scholars and advanced student
learners. This conference will focus on new advances and research results in
the eld of theoretical and e%perimental elds of $echanical 'ngineering.
In the invited talk the various challenges in the eld of $echanical and
$aterial 'ngineering ,$$'- would be highlighted for the benet mainly
young faculty members from various engineering institute of the country"
research engineers" and the professionals who are attending the conference.
This will open another highly speciali&ed and challenging eld to carry out a
research" educational and professional work.
