............................................................Description: POP Photography Contest Brochure
Date: March 28, 2015
Instructor/Course: Joel Judkins-Comm 130
Programs/Tools: Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign Objectives: Create a new logo and orgainze it into a two-sided and folded design.
Process: I used Indesign mainly but also used Photoshop and Illustrator for my logo. I had to make up a draft with all the things I wanted and measure the sides to figure out how to set it up in Indesign. I made my document with basic text fillers and got the general layout working and then added text and paragraph styles.

............................................................Description: A graduation/pregnacy announcement.
Date: April 2, 2015
Programs/Tools: Adobe Photoshop
Objectives: Create a design and theme that would incorporate these two special events going on and do so in a chohesive manner.
Process: I started out by drawing a few sketches and ideas, especally for what to call it. I settled on “Graduating to Motherhood.” After I got some pictures of her dancing (because that’s what she graduated in) and worked them into the design. I added some texture and text to wrap it all up.

............................................................Description: Demonstrate and practice good photography and editing skills and a knowledge of color schemes through a poster with an original photo.
Date: February 8, 2015
Instructor/Course: Joel Judkins-Comm 130
Programs/ Tools: Adobe Photoshop
Objectives: Obtain basic photo taking and editing schools and incorporate an image with text and a color scheme.
Process: I started out by looking for a message and then found ways to incorporate a picture and color scheme that would help to convey that message. I then drew up some sketches for the design of the project. This helped me see how I would want to frame my picture. I then took my picture and used Photoshop to design my poster.

Date: February 15, 2015
Instructor/Course: Joel Judkins-Comm 130
Programs/ Tools: Adobe Photoshop-Masking Tool
Objectives: Learn to blend two photos together and format together with text to create a unifed design.
Process: This one took me a while to figure out what I really wanted to do and took several drafts and ideas to get down to the one I have now. I used Pinterest to find a quote and found a picture I had taken from a few years back and used that as my focus picture. I then found a tree background from texture.com and used a mask on Photoshop to blend the two together.

............................................................Description: Three logo variations for the same company.
Date: February 26, 2015
Instructor/Course: Joel Judkins-Comm 130
Programs/ Tools: Adobe Illustrator
Objectives: Create three separate logos and gather opinions about which appeals to them the most.
Process: I started out by choosing a company. The one I used is actually the name of the company my husband wants to one day have so he really enjoyed me making logo ideas for him. I started out by sketching several ideas til I found some I really liked and tried to recreate them on Illustrator. Using the shape tools I warped and made my own shapes and created several ideas. From there I picked my favorite three and played around with fonts and colors.

............................................................Description: A Flier made for a Graduate Leadership Conference completed in black and white.
Date: January 25, 2015
Instructor/Course: Joel Judkins-Comm 130
Programs/ Tools: Adobe InDesign
Objectives: Apply basic design priniples and make a flier that incoporates those priniples.
Process: I used InDesign to complete this one after first making several sketches and choosing my favorite one. I was given the logo, picture, and text and then went from there. I repeated the circle to bring it all together and used some sizing and bolding of the text to draw attention to importance and create contrast.
