• Enterosgel was synthesized in the late 1970s - early 1980s by I. B. Slinyakova and I. M. Samodumova at the L. Pisarzhevsky Institute of Physical Chemistry (USSR).

• Enterosgel was a priority medical project commissioned by the Ministry of Defense of the former Institute of Physical Chemistry of the USSR Academy of Sciences.

• 1980s - Enterosgel was used during the Afghanistan war.
