Storyline

• The company Epec was founded by local entrepreneur Veikko Rintamäki in 1978 in Seinäjoki, Finland

• The first fifteen years Epec developed and marketed several different electronics products from large outdoor displays to personal computers

• In the mid 90’s Epec made a strategic decision to focus on rugged control system modules for forest and other demanding mobile machine applications

• In 2004 a Finnish forest machine company Ponsse aquired Epec to increase the strategic competence in control systems within the group

• Today Epec is a technology leader in mobile equipment control systems working in strategic partnership with Ponsse and other world-leading machine manufacturers
