Thomas Faulkner A2 Coursework Evaluation
The Feedback Sources
I have linked the video to my Facebook account for feedback.
As the video was uploaded to YouTube, it has aloud for likes and comments.
I used Survey Monkey to create surveys to gain feedback.
Survey Monkey ResponsesOn a scale of 1-10 how would you rate the video in terms of professionalism? This response shows that the video was successful in creating a video to a professional standard and I have learned that using this technology and spending time on planning can create a media text with professional qualities.
On a scale of 1-10 how clear do you think the narrative is?This graph shows that the narrative of the video was well executed and not too confusing for the audience, which I have learned that the video contains a good balance of performance and development of the narrative.
On a scale of 1-10 how well does this video represent the band Bombay Bicycle Club? This graph shows that the audience do think the video represents the band very well as only 14% did not think this.
Survey Monkey ResponsesDo you think the costumes used relate to the indie genre? This shows that the costumes that we used in the video were successful in following the conventions of the indie genre.
Do you think the locations suitable for this genre? This shows that the locations of the historic city of York were a good choice as the feedback is at 100%.
On a scale of 1-10 how do you rate the editing? As the responses are not at the top end, this shows that the editing could have been improved on the video.
Survey Monkey ResponsesAre there any improvements that you would suggest (please state)?
This shows that the editing could have been improved but also the colour of the shot in the church could have been improved as it does not fit in with the others as well.
This feedback also shows that the lip sync was quite a bit off and therefore shows that this area of the editing/production could have improved. I have therefore learned that creating a convincing lip sync is an important aspect of a music video.
YouTubeThis also supports the way the edits are a bit out of time and could be improved.
This shows that the video has been popular on YouTube.
FacebookThe feedback on Facebook was quite small but 3 people like it which shows it was quite successful.
