What kind of media institution might distribute your media

product and why?

Which company?

• The media institution that I believe to best suited or might distribute my magazine is IPC.

• IPC has distributed many big name magazines over the years, and has had big successes with them.

• They distribute magazines like NME, Now, Chat and TV Times

Why are they the best institution?

• I believe that IPC is the best media institution to distribute my music magazine as they have had experience in the music area before.

• They distributed one of the most iconic music magazines, NME, and have had great success with it, showing that they possess the correct skills to distribute a magazine in the music genre.

Why are they the best institution?

• IPC has a rich history and association with music magazines, so know what the audience wants and how to target them correctly.

• They can then use this skill to distribute ‘Note’ and can ensure it is reaching the right audience.

Why are they the best institution?

• Over the years IPC has had a wide range of target audiences. But most recently they have narrowed down their audience to; Men; Mass Market Women and Upmarket Women.

• In spite of this I think that IPC would be a good distributor as they can use ‘Note’ to once again expand their audience to a younger female pool.

Why are they the best institution?

• Although IPC does not produce magazines like this normally, this does open up a gap in the market for them.

• They now have the chance to expand their range of genres and ‘Note’ is the best option for them to start with.

Why are they the best institution?

• I think IPC have everything needed to distribute ‘Note’ and make it a success.

• Therefore I am choosing IPC as the best media institution to distribute my magazine.
