Why we have chosen Film4 to distribute our film Our film is British and we want feel it is important to reach out to the British audience and Film4 has distributed many successful British films. As mentioned in their philosophy, Film4 are committed to enhancing the British film making industry by nurturing and funding new talent. This is important to us because our film might not be received well by a large American audience, of which it would be shown to if we had chosen a company like 20th Century Fox, because it challenges some of the common conventions in action thriller movies. Therefore we want to see how well it is received within a smaller British audience with the help from Film4 and their support. We also feel Film4 can reach out to a much more concentrated audience for us, as a lot of people in our target audience range watch Film4 films so we think this will be highly beneficial to ensuring we are not reaching out to the wrong audience.
