Evaluation question 3- who would distribute my product

Research into thriller distributors

• I have found from research that some of the key distributors of thriller films are as follows:

• - Lionsgate (distributed popular thriller films like the hunger games films, the expendables films and forbidden kingdom.)

• - savoy (small independent cinema company operating in the midlands

• - metrodome (a small media institution that gives grant of £100,000 and 18 days to make a film)

Who I would choose to distribute my film

• I would choose Lionsgate to distribute my film as they are the UK’s leading thriller distributer and hold a dominant position on the market. Furthermore they are a large team with experience therefore they would know how to properly distribute my film.

The cinema I would use

• Savoy cinema would be the cinema of choice as they are a small cinema institution with only 4 branches, this means they would be likely to air my film. Furthermore, they are established at in the media world at distributing new media companies films which would further benefit my films ratings.

Other media institutions I would make use of

• I would hopefully make use of a scheme in the midlands called metrodome, it is a scheme in the east midlands set up to help establish new films producers, they provide a grant of £100,000 and allow 18 days for the film to be produced and edited, this would provide the necessary funding for my film.
