Question 4 – Who would be the audience for your media product?

Age and gender..

The target age group and gender chosen was female and age 15-24 we chose the age group because we the film makers fall in this group and thought our first film should be targeted at this group since we understand it best and the feedback from questioners also backed this. We choose girls for a similar reason in that our group was all girl.Hopefully our film would also appeal to boys, and older age groups but not younger as horror at a younger age may be problematical.

Why we choose this target group?

We have chosen this target group as at this age is very accessible to keep up to date with new films. Also nowadays these are available on apps which make it easy when viewing on your mobile phone.

Interests and hobbies..

This age group will have very

energetic hobbies like sport,

or be involved in clubs like

cinema/film clubs. Enjoy

going to discos night clubs and

parties.

Education..

Our target audience will be students like ourselves in

year 10 or 11, or just starting collage. Or they may

have just left school and now in their first jobs or

apprentices. They will all probably be on tight

budgets so visiting cinema to see this film would be

an indulgence and something they look forward too.
