Through her career Jewel has earned 26 Music Award nominations, including The Grammy's, American Music Awards, MTV Awards, VH1 Awards, Billboard Music Awards, and Country Music Awards, winning 8 times.
Heralded by the New York Times as “one of the best singer songwriters since Joni Mitchell,” Jewel has earned four Grammy Award nominations and sold over 30 million albums. Jewel credits her great mentors Bob Dylan, and Neil Young who took the time to groom and encourage her as a young artist. Nashville artist and Executive John Rich called Jewel "probably one of the greatest American singer-songwriters we have had."
Jewel was on the cover of TIME Magazine, Rolling Stone, performed on Saturday NightLive, at the Super Bowl, the NBA Finals, for The Pope and The President Of The United States. She has experimented with several genres over her career; Folk, Pop, Club, Country, Standards, Children's and Holiday music. Recently she was chosen to finish Johnny Cash's half written songs for a forthcoming posthumous CD created by Cash’s son, John Carter Cash.
Jewel's debut album Pieces of You was released in 1995, recorded in a studio on singer Neil Young's ranch, and included Young's backing band, The Stray Gators. The album stayed on the Billboard 200 for two years, reaching number four at its peak. The album spawned the Top 10 hits "You Were Meant for Me", "Who Will Save Your Soul", and "Foolish Games". The album eventually sold over 12 million copies.
SKIPMARLEY“I don’t really think about how I want to be perceived by people. They have their own projections. I just want them to see me as a fighter for good. A love warrior.” Skip Marley often speaks in this way—a rare combination of serious and cool. The Jamaica-born, Florida-based artist is mysterious and chill, but deeply connected to his craft and refreshingly self-assured. He’s authentic in a way most musicians these days could never claim to be; when he says he’s never thought about how people perceive him, it’s without any pretense or irony.
His sound follows suit, a reggae-hybrid that effortlessly blends eras, genres, and styles, while showing off Skip’s impeccable musicianship and poetic lyricism. His natural talent comes as no surprise—music’s quite literally in his blood. Skip is the grandson of reggae icon Bob Marley, and his songs pay homage to his deep family legacy.
His songs confidently mix an assortment of genres, influences, and instruments while maintaining their reggae roots and important messaging. Though the arrangements and lyrics are often complex, they feel easy and fresh. “Lions,” for example, has heavy alt rock guitar riffs and hip–hop elements, all underscored by a dancehall rhythm. This blending of styles is all part of Skip’s songwriting process, which he would never describe as a process. “I don’t really have a structure,” he says. “Just let it happen freely. There’s no right or wrong, you just know what’s good when you get there.”
ZIAVICTORIA14 year old singer-songwriter, Zia Victoria, strongly believes in kindness, and the idea of ‘paying it forward’. She has raised over $4,000 for novakdjokovicfoundation.org and hopeandheroes.org through busking on the streets of NYC and from the proceeds of her music on iTunes.
She has written approximately 50 songs and made her debut on the TODAY SHOW in 2016. Zia has opened up for James Taylor at MassMoCA and had the incredible opportunity of performing with Florida Georgia Line, LIVE in Camden, New Jersey this summer. She has toured the Northeast for the past three summers at ESF Camps, playing her music for over 25,000 kids, and speaking about kindness and gratitude. In addition to performing her rendition of the Star Spangled Banner at a Phillies game this summer, she has performed at the Novak Djokovic Foundation Gala in Milan Italy, the Red Ants Pants Music Festival in Warm Springs, Montana, the Rockwood Music Hall in New York City, the Baphumelele Orphanage in Cape Town, South Africa, the Bergen Performing Arts Center in New Jersey and more!
