It is also the component of the operating that present many user interface item on the monitor such as the taskbar and desktop controlling the computer is possible without window explorer running (for ex. the file/rom command in task manager on N.T. drive version of window will function without it as will command type in a command window).It is sometimes referred to as the windows as the windows shall explore DOT exe.
