    Fiat Brava alarm info

Activation - De-activationThe alarm is activated by pressing the transmitter key (remote control): activation is indicated by the turnsignals coming on for about 2. seconds together !ith an acoustic signal (beep). The operating range isA"#$T %& 'T*.

D-A+T,AT,# is carried out by pressing the remote control key again. De-activation is indicated bythe turn signals flashing t!ice and the acoustic signal beeping t!ice.

ote: is not possible to activate the alarm !ith the ignition key in 'A position/ but only in *T#0or 0A1/ or removed altogether.

Activation or de-activation is indicated by a dissuasion D. ,n countries !here it is permitted by the legislation/optical and acoustic signals are also usd/ as indicated previously for the ,TA,A version.

"3-0A**,4 T5 *3*T'6hen the transmitter batteries are flat or the alarm system is faulty/ the siren may be de-activated bymeans of an emergency key located on the control unit (#77 position).

Turn the key to #77 position during-long periods of vehicle disuse (longer than t!o !eeks).

6hen the key is turned to # position/ if the battery is not sufficiently charged or if the control unit hasbeen disconnected/ the alarm emits an intermittent acoustic signals/ %& beeps (e8cept for some coun-tries !here this is not permitted).

*$,A+During surveillance/ the dissuasion led flashes at a rate of &.9 5.,n this status/ the alarm system monitors:- doors/ bonnet lid and boot lid- battery disconnection;leads cut- unauthorised activation of the ignition s!itch- movements inside the passenger compartment (volumetric surveillance)

AA' *TAT$*The system enters alarm mode !hen one of the surveillance sensors encounters an abnormal situation. An alarm is announced by activation of one of the sirens for up to three 2< second cycles (if the cause of the alarm

persists) in addition to the turn signals for up to =.> minutes (in countries !here legislationpermits it) provided the cause of the alarm persists.

8it alarm mode by: ?- pressing the transmitter key@- by means of an emergency key (The alarm on - *$,A+ condition remains stored insidethe control unit).

#T $se this procedure #3 ,7 it is #T possible to e8it alarm mode in any other !ay.

ntry to 'A$A 7A$T D,A4#*,* !ill be indicated by beep. During these beeps/press the front bonnets!itch and hold do!n. A further long beep !ill indicate acceptance of this manoeuvre.

    - hold the s!itch do!n for the entire duration of this long beep. The long beep indicates that the system is in+ountry programming mode and the +ountry code can no! be entered@

release the s!itch and !ithin the ne8t %& seconds press the s!itch in accordance !ith the table forselecting the reEuired country operating mode (the system !ill be beep to confirm each press).

The alarm signal is able to notify the $ser of any anomalies in the system by turning on the dissuasionD in constant or flashing mode. 6hen the system is turned on the system runs an automatic test program/ during!hich the dissuasion D flashes at = 5. ,f an anomaly or fault is present in the system/ the D indicates numberof pulses.

,f a door/ the bonnet or boot is found open or a fault is detected in the volumetric sensor/ the relevant

sensor is e8cluded from surveillance and a beep is issued one second follo!ing activation. At the moment of de-activation/ the system causes a dissuasion D to flash to indicate !hich sensor triggered an alarm duringsurveillance.

The flashing codes are sho!n in seEuence. These codes are %. seconds apart.

emember that during service operations on the car or in the case of alarm faults !hich cause the siren togo off/ the siren may be by-passed by turning the key-operated s!itch on the control unit from # to#77.

ote that each individual component (of the anti-theft system) installed on the vehicle becomes an integral part of

the system. ,t may not therefore be fitted or tried on other vehicles/even if they are the same model.7A*5,4 '#D 'A,4

6hen the device is in this mode/ automatic fault diagnosis is carried out on the volumetric sensors connected to thecontrol unit.

,f the test reveals no faults/ the turn signalsflash B times and the siren gives B beeps. After this initial stage/ each time the s!itchstatus changes/ the turn signals give a shortflash and the siren beeps. The D on thecentral console also flashes.

6hen the ignition s!itch is turned to 'A/ the siren gives a short beep (&& msec.) and the directionindicators flash (2. sec).

This last operation causes the system to e8it the manual test procedure. The 'A$A 7A$T D,A4#*,*procedure can also be terminated by not carrying out any operation for B& seconds. 8it from the
