HISTORY OF PROJECT AREA

Previous base metal explorers include BHP, CRA, Rio Tinto, Anaconda, plus junior companies and diamond exploration has been undertaken by Stockdale, BHP and Ashton. These exploration programs for base metals include stream sediment sampling, Geotem and aeromagnetic surveys. Limited stratigraphic diamond drilling has been undertaken by BMR, NTGS and various exploration companies. A total of only 4 stratigraphic holes have been drilled in the project area.

AAR has reprocessed geochemical data and Geotem, gravity, aeromagnetics and landsatt images. BHP previously flew Geotem over about 20 percent of the VRB project area but conducted no significant ground follow up. This data has been reviewed by Southern Geoscience geophysical consultants identifying 17 prospective Geotem conductors within two AAR tenements.

�1Northern Territory Mineral Investment Opportunities

A significant late-time channel EM conductor is located at the triple point intersection of major lineaments in an area dominated by transported cover. The remaining anomalies are equally divided between those located adjacent to major lineaments and those distal to major lineaments probably associated with particular stratigraphic units. In addition, interpretation of the Geotem images has identified major structures not previously recognized and this includes a 5km wide by 50km long corridor of structural complexity, along which major domal structures have been developed. This structural corridor is intersected and offset by major cross faults. Previous exploration in the area located large areas of anomalous Lead and Zinc stream sediment geochemistry. Values of up to 9000ppm Pb, 740ppm Zn and 500ppm Cu have been recorded. Anglo Australian Resources completed its first reconnaissance program this year, on the granted tenements consisting of geological prospecting, stream sediment, rock chip and reconnaissance soil sampling. Stream sediment sampling confirmed previous lead anomalism with assays up to 5700ppm Pb and 130ppm Zn associated with the Skull Creek Formation and the Bynoe Formation within the Bullita Group. Highly anomalous levels of lead (up to 3300ppm Pb) and zinc (up to 1100ppm Zn) were returned from rock chips of dolomitic sediments. Anomalous levels (up to 500ppm) of lead were also returned from wide-spaced reconnaissance soil traverses. The values and the extent of anomalism (up to 12 x 3km in dimension) are encouraging, as the deposit models guiding the exploration suggest lead anomalism may be the surface expression of an alteration halo of a base metal mineralised system at depth.

The high level of surficial geochemical anomalism within the Victoria River Basin may represent a halo to a large base metal mineralizing system. Manganese alteration located on the western side of the AAR tenements may represent an outer alteration halo to this system. The geochemical anomalism combined with the age of the underlying stratigraphy, unique structural settings adjacent to potential growth faults highlights the potential for a significant buried sedex deposit within the Victoria River Basin. Based on this model thirty six lithostructural exploration targets including eight high priority targets were derived from a combination of geological, Geotem, landsatt, gravity and magnetic data.

The company recently completed an extensive and detailed helicopter supported gravity program on granted tenements.

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT PLAN

The Proterozoic Victoria River Basin (VRB) consists of a 3.5km thick stratigraphic sequence of sandstone, shale and dolomitic sediments, covering an area of 160,000sq kms, overlying the Birrindudu Basin and has the potential for sedimentary hosted zinc dominated base metal deposits similar in style to the giant McArthur River, Mt Isa and Century deposits. The Bullita stratigraphic succession is considered to have potential to host stratiform sedimentary, Mississippi and Irish lead-zinc styles of mineralisation These deposits are associated with the fine grained clastic rocks (black shales) of a sedimentary package, which contains substantial dolomites and limestones. All the large deposits are located near major regional structures and have a halo of lead anomalism. The target size is in the order of 50-100 million tonnes at 10% combined Pb/Zn.

Australian Ilmenite Resources (then operating as Exploration & Resource Development) discovered and have developed this resource since 2001 on original tenements to approx 4 million ton ilmenite. Further tenements granted in 2006 and currently being worked are suspected of containing a further 5 to 10 million ton of ilmenite to add into the resource estimates. There is an equivalent amount of magnetite. Drilling over 6000 holes, three kilometres of trenching and testing of 20000 plus samples to arrive at resource estimates.

Iron ore field on EL26412 confirmed by sampling, competitor drilling and released documentation with Government mapping and now thought to be in excess of 500 million ton.


A mineral lease has been applied for in MLA 27422 over a small area within EL24655 and approval has been granted to mine and process a 10,000 ton sample on site to have metallurgy and mining assessments complete.

Competitor drilling in surrounding tenement on EL26412 has seen documents lodged with Mines Department to allow drilling program 2010.

Comprehensive 3D modelling of the geology, mineralisation and sample/assay database of Home of Bullion Deposits. Past drilling by Goldstake has resulted in substantial estimated resource being defined.

There are four mineral lodes in two groups. The Main Lode has been assessed as containing an initial estimated resource [ non JORC ] 308,000 tons at 13% Cu for 40,000 tons of Copper metal. This requires further drilling to bring to JORC status. Recent reassessment indicates up to 58,000 t of contained copper metal.

Three further lodes are located close to Main Lode. These have similar geological characteristics as the Main Lode. Potential for all Lodes to link up underground to form a major deposit of high quality Copper with bonus, Lead, Zinc, Silver and Gold recovery. It is estimated that the Lead, Zinc, Silver and Gold could cover copper production costs.


Owners are currently seeking investment in the project to fund project development. Presentations have commenced to potential investors to raise at least $15 million to conduct further drilling to increase estimated reserves from 40,000 tonnes of Copper metal to 300,000 tonnes and to begin production of high grade copper within 12 months or as soon as mining



permits can be obtained. Production target is 30,000 tons of copper plus gold, silver, lead and zinc per year.


Phase 1: To test secondary zone within the Main Lode, Eastern and Southern Lodes - 10 drill holes totaling 765m Phase 2: To test the primary zone within the Main Lode - 8 drill holes totaling 1052m Phase 3: Major drill program (on all four lodes) to expand resource to 300,000 t of contained Cu metal.

At the same time rehabilitating the 200 foot “Main Shaft” to access and mine ore at 15% Cu. Mining could commence within 12 months subject to permits.

The owners obtained the Exploration license in 1999. Since then substantial drilling and geophysical surveys have been completed with the services of BHP Minerals Pty Limited and Mithril Resources Ltd.



In 2004, BHP/Mithrill conducted a $1M drill and geophysics program after exercising an option

to Joint Venture with the owners of EL 23186. Following BHP taking over Western Mining Corp

in June 2005, BHP did not proceed to a proposed JV development with the owners of Prospect

D. In their reports on their drill program BHP/Mithril described the mineralisation as having the

potential to host sulphide mineralisation of a style similar to the massive Voisey’s Bay Nickel

deposit in Canada.

Ground and Air electromagnetic surveys have identified four bed-rock conductors with co-incident gravity highs suggesting the possibility of sulphide mineralisation associated with mafic body at depth.


Since the 1972/3 drilling took place , a substantial geophysical program, to identify drill targets, was carried out by then Joint Venture partners BHP/Mithril. Several major conductors were delineated, and these targets would be a priority in the upcoming drill programme. Further development is on hold until adequate funding is available to begin further resource drilling to establish a mineable deposit of nickel, copper and gold.


It is proposed to raise $10 million to complete drilling programs to generate JORC compliant reserves. The establishment of sufficient mineable reserves will then warrant a large scale IPO on a major Stock Exchange to raise the funds necessary to construct a fully integrated mining operation.


It is proposed to raise $10M seed capital prior to listing the Prospect D deposit on the ASX. The seed capital provider(s) will be entitled to 15% of the which it is anticipated will list at a discount of 65% to the seed capital entry price. The owners are prepared to enter discussions with interested parties to secure a favourable result for all parties.

The Project area has seen three periods of diamond exploration, in the early 1980’s, the early 1990’s and mid 2000’s. Work in the early 1980’s comprised regional reconnaisance stream sampling for heavy minerals and although no kimberlitic indicator minerals (KIM) were recovered, the southern parts of El’s 25084 and 25085 yielded numerous micro-diamonds from 1990’s sampling by Ashton. BHP drilled 12 percussion holes on eight magnetic targets in the area but only three targets fell on the current tenements. No kimberlite was intersected.

A total of 131 samples comprising 129 stream and 2 loam samples were collected on EL 25084 and 101 samples comprising 90 stream and 11 loam samples were collected on EL 25085. A total of 210 samples were collected on EL 25520, all were gravel samples. Two samples contained chromite but these were non-kimberlitic.

A search of NT Government open file records has failed to find any significant diamond exploration that has been carried out over the tenements over the last 10 years. Two companies, Ausquest and Gravity Diamonds, have both reported on the area but no sampling was carried out in the tenement areas. Ausquest was exploring mainly for base metals. Gravity Diamonds were exploring for diamonds but undertook no fieldwork.

Ausquest identified six subtle dipole magnetic targets within Proterozoic sediments in the southern areas of EL 25084 and EL25085 but no follow-up was carried out. These targets are in the area where numerous micro-diamonds have been recovered.




A number of aeromagnetic surveys were undertaken in the area by BHP (1984) and the Northern Territory Government (1995, 1997 & 2001). The magnetic data for the geophysical surveys were imported into a geophysical program, filtered using a first vertical derivative and stacked profiles were produced. These profiles were then imported into MapInfo and used to identify discrete magnetic targets that may represent kimberlite pipes.

A total of forty four (44) magnetic targets have been selected for ground inspection on the three tenements, together with ten (10) Ausquest targets that have not been followed up.


Follow-up of aeromagnetic targets has been restricted to work carried out in the 1980’s and no follow-up appears to have been carried out on targets generated by the more recent aeromagnetic surveys flown by the Northern Territory Government.

A total of forty four (44) magnetic targets have been selected for ground inspection on the three tenements, together with ten (10) Ausquest targets that have not been followed up. Those targets unexplained after field inspection are proposed to be covered by small ground magnetic grids. Single line or two line “cross” profiles of ground magnetic traverses are not considered adequate to test magnetic targets. A line spacing of 50m with a station spacing of 10m is proposed. The grid must be large enough to cover the target and the background geology. In areas of difficult or inaccessible terrain, detailed airborne magnetic surveys may need to be undertaken.

During the course of regional base metal exploration on the project Mithril identified previously unrecorded outcropping copper mineralisation at what is now known as the Pipeline Prospect. Subsequent exploration by Mithril identified similar stratigraphic horizons and mineralisation throughout the project area.

The area has not seen any recent systematic base metal exploration but there has been some regional exploration completed targeting uranium mineralisation associated with the unconformity toward the base of the centralian superbasin. In this area the centralian superbasin overlies deformed mid-proterozoic metasediments and mafic/ultramafic intrusions of the Casey Inlier.


Exploration by Mithril Resources located copper mineralisation in two areas known as the Pipeline and Arthur Popes Prospects. Other copper mineralised localities of similar style to Pipeline are located within the Project area (Figure 1).



The project is located ~200km east of Alice Springs (approximately 3hrs drive) entirely within Pastoral Lease (Figure 2) and consists of four granted tenements. The Pipeline mineralization grades to 5.2% copper in grab samples and is associated with a megaconglomerate immediately above an unconformity near the base of the neoproterozoic Centralian Superbasin (Figure 3). This mineralisation is interpreted to be stratabound and has the potential to be part of a very large system.

The mineralisation at Arthur Popes (grading to 23% copper over narrow <20cm intervals from grab samples) is commonly associated with Rare Earth Elements (up to 1.2% REE in grab samples) within multiple 1-3m thick silicified carbonate rich veins that have been mapped for up to 3km.

Ground work by Mithril has only been conducted on EL24646 to date and has consisted of geological mapping, rockchip and stream sediment sampling, ground gravity, electromagnetic (EM) and induced polarization (IP) surveys and three diamond drillholes.

The drilling confirmed the presence of anomalous copper values within the sedimentary rocks near the unconformity and interpretation of the geophysics (magnetics and gravity) have highlighted a number of stratabound copper targets.

Mithril expenditure to date is in excess of $525,000.

Mithril is seeking a partner to fully assess the significance of these mineralised systems and to continue the regional exploration for base metal (and uranium) mineralisation throughout the 1060sqkm of poorly explored granted tenure. A proposed program would consist of:



• Drill test targets generated for significant stratabound copper mineralisation under shallow sand cover.

• Further geological mapping and rock sampling particularly the Cu-REE vein systems to determine if any of the veins thicken significantly.

• Drill test a coincident IP anomaly and magnetic high at the Arthur Pope’s Prospect.

• Continue to review all historical data on recently granted tenements with a focus on the Ringwood Prospect.

• Mapping and sampling on the recently granted tenements 25887, 25888 and 25711.
