It is hard to believe that it is July already and the 4th of July Sale (July 7th) is fast approaching. The Red Hot Mamas, the bakers and several local crafters have been busy working to fill the tables with all kinds of goodies, both edible and non-edible. Help is needed on Friday to set up. Please be at the Fire Station by noon. Saturday help is needed throughout the sale on the sales floor. Come and help even it only for a couple of hours. Chief Paine has advised me that a mail box will be installed at the station by this weekend for AmeriGas customers to drop off their delivery receipt or their Community/School Days receipt which is attached to their bill. For every gallon of gas that you buy, AmeriGas will donate 2 cents to the Auxiliary. If you have friends and neighbors who use AmeriGas, but are not associated with the Auxiliary, ask them to drop their receipts off also. It is a great way for all to support the Fire Department. Remember that we need your original receipt, not a copy. Please remember to get your dues paid by July 15 th to get the contract price on your gas. We need to send the current membership list to AmeriGas by mid-July. The Appreciation Dinner will be held August 4th at 5:00 PM. We are again having steak or chicken. You will be asked to let us know which you want by 27 th of July. Mark this date on your calendars. We want to recognize the contributions to the BRFD made by the auxiliary, the Fire Fighters, and Emergency Medical staff. It is hard to believe that it is July already and the 4th of July Sale (July

7th) is fast approaching. The Red Hot Mamas, the bakers and several

local crafters have been busy working to fill the tables with all kinds of

goodies, both edible and non-edible. Help is needed on Friday to set

This is a BIG REMINDER that if you haven’t already done so, get your dues paid by July 15th. You will

not be eligible for the propane discount from Amerigas if I have not received them by then.

We will be putting the Cash Boxes together today for the Sale on Saturday. A big thanks to Mary Levine for

her help with this. If you would be interested in learning to be a cashier at the sale, please let me know.

From the Red-Hot Mamas:

Hello, just a couple of days till the 4th of July sale (on Saturday the 7th). We have made many new items as

well as some of the favorites such as the rubs and dish cloths. We are excited for a big sale!

We look forward to celebrating the holiday week with the community! We look forward to provide

another opportunity to support the Blue Ridge Fire Department through the crafting we have completed.

If you are able to help on the sales floor for an hour or two, it is always welcome.

If you cannot join us on Wednesdays, materials are available to work on projects from home. But we do

have a lot of fun on Wednesday mornings, so please join us and bring a friend.

We look forward to crafting through the summer!

We continue to need donations of:

golf tees

24 oz. size glass jars: Kirkland (Costco) Sliced Peaches, Classico Spaghetti Sauce, Safeway Select

Marinara Sauce (or similar)

Craft rings

Drawer knobs or pulls: antique, glass, ornate, wood

Glass baby food jars, large & small

Lace/crocheted doilies, any size

Thin pieces of metal, tin, copper; 4 inch squares or larger

Wood picture frames, 5x7 and larger

Wood spindles, from tables or chairs

Wooden chairs, as in kitchen (no upholstery)

Zippered bags from linens, blankets, etc.

Beads; wooden, glass of any shape or size

14 Count counted cross stitch material, any color

Donations may be left at the fire station.

Reminder: Please wash jars and remove labels before donating them to us.
