Highly versatile pick-up All John Deere balers are equipped with a pick-up featuring a cam track. This technology offers unbeaten performance in short or sticky crops such as 2nd or 3rd cut silage. The short space between pick-up tines and forks/rotor enables continuous crop fl ow while the perfect tine angle prevents crop pinching.

MaxiCut HC 13 A popular option for silage cutting. The double fingers on the rotor sweep the crop against 13 knives to produce the ideal 80 mm silage length.

MaxiCut HC 25 Choose up to three different crop length settings from the monitor display: uncut, 40 and 80 mm.

Hands-free unplugging With our unique, patented hydraulic drop-floor (optional on F440M) blockages are effortlessly cleared in seconds.

Offering true multi-crop baling, the F440M is ideal for medium volume use or for low volume operations where a narrow timeframe means high capacity and speed are essential. Packed full of features, it’s a high value package that will perform reliably, year after year.

There’s a choice of MultiCrop or Silage Special.

The MultiCrop concept features a bale chamber that combines 7 ribbed rolls with a chain and slat conveyor and is ideal for baling all kinds of crops. The front rolls handle high density and capacity when harvesting silage and hay, while the rear conveyor fi rmly grabs the driest crops such as brittle straw.

The Silage Special option benefi ts from full roll bale chamber technology especially designed for the wettest crops. The reinforced rolls and heavy duty tailgate cylinders provide all the strength needed to produce dense, heavy and well shaped bales.
