Twinkle Bharat Ashar, passed the second year MBBS examination with 60% marks (D.Y. Patil University)

Tanvi Rahul Dutia, daughter of Rahul Shantikumar Dutia stood 2nd rank in Mumbai University in her BSc Biochemistry examination. She was honoured and awarded by the Vice Chancellor of Mumbai University in the prestigious premises of Mumbai University in the presence of a crowd of 500 people on the 23rd of December.

Maharashtra banes cows slaughterMaharashtra had banned the slaughter of cows and calves in 1976. The new law extends the ban to bulls and bullocks. It only excludes female buffaloes and their calves which need a fit-for-slaughter certificate before being butchered. Several states have already enacted similar laws.

Global Bhatia Foundation organised a free medical camp (SUPPORTED BY

RANCHHODDAS KANJI AND LAXMIDAS DAMJI CHARITABLE TRUST) on March 1, 2015 at

Shri Mumbai Halai Bhatia Mahajanwadi, Kalbadevi. 287 persons availed the opportunity. This

was a third year in raw that GBF has successfully organised a medical camp. Shri Suresh

Bhatia has co-ordinated the project.

Various tests were conducted viz. General Check-up, Thyroid, Dental, Skin, Spirometry.

Cholestrol, Uric Acid, ECG, Neuropathy, Blood Sugar, BMD. Specs and Medicines were given free.

Migration : Pronghorns Galloping Through the Snowy Canadian Mountains

Rufous Tree Pie (Dendrocitta vagabunda) photographed at Ranthambhore National Park, Rajasthan has a rufous coloured mantle. Its local name is kotri, derived from the way it calls. It has also musical calls bob-o-link bob-o-link. Also known as handi-chancha as the bill is stout with a hooked tip. Another name is taka chor (coin thief.) I think of him as the tiger’s toothbrush as it picks stray bits from tiger’s teeth and helps tigers. It is so resourceful in finding food! It would boldly sit on our jeep’s bonnet or rear view mirror and give poses looking left and right, craning neck, like a film starlet.
