WHY WE VOLUNTEEREDServing the community is part of our mission. It is engrained in our cultureand in our Core Values below:

Page 12: Forney construction camp aranzazu-1889

“We have been involved with Camp Aranzazu since Forney Construction’s inception in 2008. Tom Forney, owner and CEO of Forney Construction, also serves as the President of Camp Aranzazu. As a company, we have become invested in the camp’s people and in their cause. We plan to stay actively involved and have made the Zazu Fishing Tournament an annual tradition with 2013 tournament being the 3rd year we have volunteered as a group.”

ANSWER TO QUESTION #2

-Tracy DaimlerForney Construction Giving Committee Director

Page 13: Forney construction camp aranzazu-1889

“With the prize money, we would be able to offer our life-enriching programs to many more children who have nowhere else to overcome their physical and mental challenges in a safe environment designed just for them. We could supplement the cost of attending camp, and thus provide monetary and physical respite for more families who are financially and emotionally

challenged by their child’s illness.”

Camper TestimonialsTaylor - age 18

“Taylor lived with his diagnosis of neurological differences for most of his life. As a teenager, he felt secluded, misunderstood, and disregarded by peers. His lack of

activity caused him to become obese, sending him further into depression. At camp, Taylor was able to see other teens living life successfully with the same diagnosis. He

was encourages to try new things and was commended for his efforts. After camp, Taylor retained friendships he made at camp, and began living a healthier lifestyle.

He has begun seeking out ways to lend a hand to others who need help and has found new meaning in life.”

Camper TestimonialsCassie - age 12

“After being diagnosed with neurological differences, Cassie became very angry and constantly felt anxious. She refused to take her medications because she didn’t want to be different. Her mother was concerned that at camp, she would cause problems

and try to hide her medication. At camp, Cassie saw kids who also took daily medications and that she was not alone. She made friends with other 12 year olds

who also dealt with the same struggles. After returning home, she continued to talk on the phone with her new camp friends and still sees them once in a while. Her

mother said she was much happier and she absolutely had no problems taking her medication now.”
