INTRODUCTION

For 80 years, everything in the Daelemans family has been focused on pigeonsport. Grandfather Louis started the family tradition of breeding and racing pigeons as early as 1924. Today this tradition is continued by father August Daelemans and son Frank, combining their efforts in “The Loft of the New Generation”.

!

Since many years the Daelemans’ loft is first and foremost known for its original Janssen Arendonk. Being friends of the Janssen brothers (and now of the only remaining brother Louis) for many years we were (and still are) able to build up an outstanding collection of these world renowned pigeons.

Our expertise in Janssen pigeons doesn’t mean however that we turn a blind eye to the evolutions in modern pigeon racing. Nevertheless we are of opinion that it is best to focus on those bloodlines that can be termed ‘legends’; in other words that can be found in the majority of the pedigrees of Champions that matter today. Anyone that seriously studies how modern Champions have built their breeding stock can easily see that few bloodlines actually turn up again and again. For us, these lines are important foundations of any loft that wants to matter in the sport today. Janssen Arendonk is one of these lines. Soontjens is another. And recently the De Rauw-Sablon / Marcel Aelbrecht birds have proven that they also belong in that category. That is why you will find Janssen, Soontjens and De Rauw-Sablon/Aelbrechts on our stock loft.

In this catalogue we present our collection; a collection we don’t mind sharing with you. Youngsters from our breeders are in principle available throughout the year. Please keep in mind however, that we are not a big ‘factory’ loft or breeding station. First come is first served as we normally breed only 3 to 4 rounds a year, including the pigeons we need for ourselves. If you have any further questions after going through this catalogue, then don’t hesitate to contact us. We’ll be glad to help you along.

Of course we realize that the world doesn’t end with the bloodlines presented in our catalogue. Since we are not a breeding station - we prefer quality over quantity - it is impossible for us to include each and every popular line on our breeding loft. That doesn’t mean however we can’t help you get the quality birds you’re interested in. We are after all based in Belgium, the cradle of pigeon sport and still the pulsating heart of the sport’s latest developments. What’s more, we have outstanding contacts with most of the Champions that matter today. More than 40 years of journalistic experience and being coordinators for the Sun City Million Dollar Pigeon Race for a decade and a half make sure our pigeon sport network is 100% up to date.

On top of that we have more than 30 years experience in shipping pigeons worldwide. So, no matter if you want us to select some outstanding pigeons for you or if you want to come over to pick them out yourself, we can guide you to the lofts that are on top of the game today and arrange a first class shipment for your birds afterwards.

This way you can be free of worries and enjoy your new champions for years to come.

OUR JANSSEN ARENDONK

COLLECTION

No other bloodline of pigeons has fueled the imagination of fanciers as that of Janssen Arendonk. For those that breed and compete with “the racehorses of the sky”, the name Janssen sounds like the name “Ferrari” does to car aficionados. “The brothers” have become the stuff of legend and put the small village of Arendonk firmly on the world map. Japanese, Taiwanese, Chinese, Americans, South Africans, Australians, Russians, Poles, Mexicans, ... you name it... may have a hard time remembering that Brussels is a Belgian city or that Antwerp is one of the largest ports in the world, but if they are pigeon fanciers they can tell you exactly where Arendonk is situated!

Of course, the story of the Janssen Brothers of Arendonk holds in itself all the necessary ingredients to make it into a legend. The unmarried brothers who lived together all their lives, devoting themselves to their pigeons; their well in the garden, which contained water of almost magical quality (or so people tend to believe); the vast sums of money which they earned racing pigeons (just before the second World War they won 6.000 Belgian Francs, then the equivalent of a small house, three weeks in a row); the openness of their lofts, with their priceless champions flying out at liberty all day; the pureness of their bloodline, going for decades without new blood brought in (except the famous “half Fabry”); ... these are all facts that indeed add to the legend. At the same time these stories and many others (some true, some not so true) almost make you forget where the real legendary status of the Janssen Arendonk strain comes from: the unparalleled breeding quality of what may very well be the finest pigeons the world has ever seen. Look at the pedigrees of any top Champion in the sport and chances are extremely high you will find one or more Janssen pigeons in there. There is no other strain that has been used so much to reinforce breeding stock. It makes the Janssen birds unique. And it doesn’t matter if you look at sprint, middle distance or long distance Champions: they all have used Janssen Arendonk. That is also unique. You don’t even have to restrain yourself and only look at yesterday’s Champions. The breeding success of the Janssen pigeons has lasted for decades and decades and continues today into the 21st century.

My father and I have had the privilege of being friends of the Janssen family (and now of the only remaining brother Louis) for many years. Of course, legends always have many “friends”. But how many of these “friends” can claim they received from the Janssen brothers the traditional pocket-money given to young men going to the army? How many of these can say they have been asked by them to go up to the loft in the attic and ring youngsters? How many can buy the youngsters of their own choosing in stead of having to accept what is presented? Not many, but my father and I can. Because of this some of the most famous and exceptional Janssen birds have passed through our hands. And because of this we’ve been able to build up a fine collection of Janssen pigeons out of the best lines on their loft.We present our collection to you on the following pages. It is not the largest collection in the world. Its quality however can pass any test. Youngsters out of our breeders have produced winners on all distances in all corners of the world. Of course, talk is cheap and making claims is easy. So by all means, don’t take our word for it; turn the pages and judge for yourself...

Page 7: Frank & August Daelemans Pigeon Catalogue 2011 2011... · Frank & August Daelemans Pigeon Catalogue 2011 Janssen - Soontjens - De Rauw-Sablon / Aelbrecht Contact us at: Hellestraat

Zacht Blauw Janssen (also known as Schoon Blauw Janssen) was a unique hen on our loft and truly a legend. She passed away on 11 December 2009, just a few weeks short of her 21st birthday. Until aged 18, she laid two perfect eggs time and time again. Almost every fancier visiting our lofts when she was alive handled her and was amazed about her quality; not only when she was young, but also in later years. Needless to say any hen that managed to stay on a breeding loft for so long (we got her as a baby directly from the Janssen Brother’s loft in 1989) has shown superior quality. Especially in Japan, Malta and South Africa her offspring has been very popular because of the many winners it produced on short, middle and long distances alike. Her pedigree is a Janssen fan’s heaven. On father’s side she’s descendant from the worldfamous 019. On mother’s side we find other Janssen celebrities, such as Oude Witoger, Oude Vos van ’81, Ijskop and Goede Jaarling. Today we still have 4 of her direct children on our breeding loft; 2 cocks and 2 hens. These are presented below:

Page 8: Frank & August Daelemans Pigeon Catalogue 2011 2011... · Frank & August Daelemans Pigeon Catalogue 2011 Janssen - Soontjens - De Rauw-Sablon / Aelbrecht Contact us at: Hellestraat

Apart from the “Zacht Blauw” (Old Blue Hen) Dynasty, our Janssen collection of course holds other Arendonk gems as well. Our original and pure Janssen cocks and hens are presented on the following pages:

482/02 is an original Janssen Arendonk hen. As with all our Janssen birds, only the very best bloodlines find their way unto our breeding loft. In 482’s pedigree you will find household Janssen names such as Geeloger, Witplak, 019, Stier, Jonge Merckx, Goede Jaarling, Zitter, Raket, etc.

Schone Geschelpte Janssen is another original Janssen and a great addition to our Janssen Arendonk collection. His father is Bonten, out of the lines of Vos van ’90 Volière, Jonge Raket, Eksteroog, Oude Vos van ’81 and Goede Jaarling. On mother’s side he descends from Rakker, Raket, Oude Witoger and Jonge - and Oude Merckx to name but a few. In fact we can trace his pedigree back to 1926. Usually he’s mated to ‘Helena’.

What does one mate to a top Janssen Arendonk cock? A top Janssen Arendonk hen of course. Diamond Princess Janssen is just that. A granddaughter of Beul, son of the famous Goede Kapot Borstbeen x Schone Duivin van Jonge Merckx, Diamond Princess combines some of the most famous Janssen Arendonk lines. In her pedigree you will also find pigeons such as Jonge Merckx, Eksteroog, Afgekeurde, Oude Vos van ’81, Jonge Raket, etc. She will be mated to ‘Pollux’, son of the legendary ‘Zacht Blauw’ Old Blue Hen.

Page 9: Frank & August Daelemans Pigeon Catalogue 2011 2011... · Frank & August Daelemans Pigeon Catalogue 2011 Janssen - Soontjens - De Rauw-Sablon / Aelbrecht Contact us at: Hellestraat

Superstar Janssen is a superior Janssen Arendonk cock, inbred to the line of Witplak x Blauwke van Blauwke van 019. In his pedigree we therefore several times find Janssen Arendonk legends such as 019, Oude Merckx and Oude Lichten, but other highlights such as Geeloger and Stier are also present. On mother’s side we also find the famous hen “Duivin 2 eerste prijzen”. Superstar Janssen is an original Janssen Arendonk cock which has earned his place on our breeding loft. He’s always mated to ‘Wondervoske’

Wondervoske Janssen is a very nice Janssen Arendonk hen, direct and original out of the famous Brothers’ loft. Her popularity on our loft is not only due to her red color, which she has inherited from her father, Late Vos van ’99 out of the lines of Raket and Rakker, but is also the natural result of her qualities and her impressive pedigree, which contains Janssen legends such as Goede Kapot Borstbeen, Zitter, Jonge Merckx, Stier and Goede Jaarling. Together with ‘Superstar’ she has formed a successful breeding couple for many years.

112/00 is an original Janssen Arendonk hen. Saying that she has an impressive pedigree is no exaggeration. All major lines of the Janssen family seem to come together in this beautiful hen: Stier, Jonge Merckx, Vos van ’90 Volière, 019, Geeloger, Oude Witoger, Eksteroog, Raket, Goede Jaarling, Ijskop, Scherpe, Rakkertje, Beul (112’s grandfather), Goede Kapot Borstbeen, Duivin 2 eerste prijzen, ... the list seems endless and leads us all the way back through Janssen Arendonk history to 1926. A superb example of the quality that Louis Janssen, the remaining Janssen brother, still produces on his loft today. She’s always mated to ‘Vos Beauty’ and over the years has produced outstanding youngsters.

For those who love red Janssen Arendonk birds, Vos Beauty is certainly a delight. His mother and father were both reds: his father from the line of Vos van ’90 Volière; his mother from Oude Vos van ’81. Complement this with the lines of Goede Kapot Borstbeen and Jonge Merckx to name but a few and anyone with even a slight interest in Janssen Arendonk immediately knows he’s got top material in his hands. Vos Beauty was bred by ourselves out of two original Janssen birds, who trace their pedigrees back to 1926. So no so called Janssen with no orginals in the pedigree as far as one can see on our breeding loft, but only quality birds where the mark of the Janssen brothers is clearly visible.

Page 10: Frank & August Daelemans Pigeon Catalogue 2011 2011... · Frank & August Daelemans Pigeon Catalogue 2011 Janssen - Soontjens - De Rauw-Sablon / Aelbrecht Contact us at: Hellestraat

Geschelpt Wittikske is a pure Janssen Arendonk hen of noble lineage. Her father is Lichte Afgekeurde, a son of the famous Lichte van Afgekeurde, which was sold for a high sum to Japan. Jonge Merckx, Jonge Raket, Oude Vos van ’81,... are all found in her pedigree on father’s side. On mother’s side her pedigree is no less impressive. She is a granddaughter of the worldfamous Chantilly, 6150123/89. For those who know something about Janssen pigeons, no more needs to be said. The only thing we will add is that through her grandmother on mother’s side, Geschelpt Wittikske descends from other Janssen icons such as Blauwen Winterjonge and the legendary 019. Geschelpt Wittikske is usually mated to ‘Castor’.

774 is a pure Janssen Arendonk of our own breeding. His father is Lichte Afgekeurde, a grandson of the famous Afgekeurde. His mother is Zacht Voske, out of the lines of Vos van ’90 Volière, Goede Kapot Borstbeen, Blauwen Winterjonge, Oude Witoger, etc. Other famous names in his pedigree include Jonge Merckx, Jonge Raket, Eksteroog, Oude Vos van ’81, etc. We’ve been asked many times to sell this very nice red cock, especially by Taiwanese, where the line of Afgekeurde has a strong reputation as top performers. As we are very fond of this outstanding bird ourselves, 774 still remains on our lofts. Mating him to ‘Cassandra’, a daughter of our legendary Zacht Blauw, the Old Blue Hen, combines two lines with proven race qualities.

928 Chantilly is an inbred daughter of our Donkere Chantilly with his own sister Groenoog Chantilly and therefore concentrates the purest lines of the worldfamous Janssen Arendonk blood. As any pigeon breeder knows, very close inbreeding such as brother x sister matings, often produces junk which needs to be eliminated. The reason for doing it however is because once in a while such matings produce extremely high quality when all the best genes combine. 928 Chantilly is such a high quality result that has already proven her breeding capabilities.

Apart from the pigeons shown above we also possess another 3 original Janssen birds, which are currently not engaged in our breeding program for the simple reason that they are offered for sale. These are a hen from 2008 (line Eksteroog, daughter Septemberman) and her brother from 2009 and a grandson of Klamper from 2008. For more information check out our website www.pigeonsport.com.

One cock, 333/07, is not mentioned in the list above because we currently have no picture available. This pure Janssen out of the lines of Chantilly and 774, who raced in the top 10% from Argenton, will be mated to ‘928 Chantilly’, producing youngsters of 13,5% inbreeding, perfectly suited for a cross to breed outstanding racers.

OUR SOONTJENS BIRDS

Page 12: Frank & August Daelemans Pigeon Catalogue 2011 2011... · Frank & August Daelemans Pigeon Catalogue 2011 Janssen - Soontjens - De Rauw-Sablon / Aelbrecht Contact us at: Hellestraat

Although Soontjens himself has long since passed away, his legacy lives on, especially in the Antwerp Province, home of the legendary Antwerp Union, where strong contenders such as Luc Geerinckx and Romain Moons get one racing success after another with their Soontjens based teams. Winning more than 20 first prizes in a season is no exception and certainly impressive enough for us to reinforce our middle distance team with the descendants of “Late Tom”, “Vanherstraeten hen”, “Witte Tom” and the like. Meanwhile, these birds have proven their worth in races in various countries such as South Africa and Ireland. Therefore the Soontjens have earned their place on our loft, like they should on any loft that takes middle distance racing serious or wants to improve its overall strenght. Our current breeding stock consists of three popular pairs, which are listed below, and an extra cock which we cross with Janssen blood.

Our first pair consists of ‘Anthraciet’ x ‘Kooltje’. Both are, for obvious reasons, named after types of charcoal. ‘Kooltje’ is a descendant of ‘Zwarte uit Tom’ (‘Black One out of Tom’). We just mention this fact to show that, contrary to uninformed but sometimes popular belief, not all original Soontjens were blue or light checkered. In fact Soontjens’ loft contained all kinds of colours, including reds! In any case, both ‘Anthraciet’ and ‘Kooltje’ come out of proven racing stock such as the 1st Ace pigeon yearlings and the Ace pigeon 2002, 2004 and 2005.

This is without a doubt our most popular Soontjens pair. This is not only due to the heritage of ‘Blauwe Genopte Soontjens’ (out of the line of the famous ‘Late Tom’ and ‘Vanherstraeten hen’) but also due to the exceptional beauty of the hen ‘Sneeuwwitje’. And of course, due to the quality of their offspring.

Page 13: Frank & August Daelemans Pigeon Catalogue 2011 2011... · Frank & August Daelemans Pigeon Catalogue 2011 Janssen - Soontjens - De Rauw-Sablon / Aelbrecht Contact us at: Hellestraat

Again a sought after Soontjens pair. As his name suggests, ‘Tom Soontjens’ is a direct descendant of the famous ‘Late Tom’ of Soontjens himself. And just like in the previous pair, the hen ‘Streepje’ is a very beautiful small type pigeon whose offspring are extremely suited for distances up to 350 km.

‘Rosse Soontjens’ is the extra cock we were talking about and also the living proof that reds also had their place on the Soontjens loft. ‘Rosse Soontjens’ is once again a descendant of the legendary ‘Late Tom’ x ‘Vanherstraeten hen’ pair of Soontjens himself. He’s currently mated to our original Janssen hen ‘482/02’. A better vote of confidence in his breeding capacities cannot be given.

INTRODUCTION

Bloodlines that have a fundamental impact on our beloved pigeon sport are rare. Agreed, many champions have contributed to the development of the racing pigeon over the last two centuries. Bricoux, Huyskens-Van Riel, Stichelbaut, Vanhee, Catrysse, Soontjens, Van Dyck, Houben, Vandenabeele, Norman, … are but a few names in a very long list of top fanciers who deserve our gratitude because they have placed the undisputable qualities of the Belgian pigeons in the international spotlights. But still… names that one encounters in almost every pedigree of top performers remain extremely rare indeed. Janssen and Meulemans are almost the only names that immediately spring to mind. And now of course there is De Rauw-Sablon / Aelbrecht. Even the toughest sceptic will have to admit that the impact of Etienne De Rauw, Frans Sablon and Marcel Aelbrecht on modern pigeon racing cannot longer be ignored.

Master Breeder Karel Meulemans once told me: “Breeding a first generation of winners is OK, but to establish or reinforce a bloodline it means nothing. The genetic qualities have to breed through in the second and third generations. If this doesn’t happen, I eliminate everything, no matter how good the first generation performed.” In the case of De Rauw-Sablon and Marcel Aelbrecht no elimination needs to be done. This becomes abundantly clear when one looks at the results of the offspring of their bloodline. National Ace pigeon Long Distance titles abound: 7th National Acepigeon 1999 (Jules Mannaert), 1st National Ace pigeon 2003 (Marcel Aelbrecht), 7th National Acepigeon 2006 (Etienne De Rauw), 1st National Acepigeon 2006 and 2nd National Acepigeon 2007 (Eric Limbourg) and 5th National Ace pigeon 2008 (Louis Van Den Eynde). Add to this the 4th National Ace pigeon Big Middle Distance 2005 (David Vermassen), the 2nd National Ace pigeon Big Middle Distance 2006 (Louis Van Den Eynde) and the 2nd Olympiad pigeon Ostend 2007 Cat. B (David Vermassen) title and I think the picture has now become clear for just about everyone.

Frans Sablon (left), Marcel Aelbrecht (middle) and August Daelemans (right) discussing pigeons

Careful study of the performances of the De Rauw-Sablon bloodline reveals a remarkable feat: although De Rauw-Sablon bred and trained their bloodline for the long distance, their pigeons and their descendants also performed extremely well on the middle distance! A rare fact indeed, which proves the universal character of the De Rauw-Sablon birds and the truth of their status as fundamental contributors to the development of the racing pigeon. In 2003 the story of the De Rauw-Sablon team came to an end, but their legacy lives on, and nowhere more so than on the loft of Marcel Aelbrecht, Frans Sablon’s neighbor. Who hasn’t heard of the legendary Bak 17 couple or the Marseille? Marcel Aelbrecht’s pigeons originate for at least 90% from De Rauw-Sablon stock, but he in turn also contributed heavily in the building of the De Rauw-Sablon line. Careful selection and emphasis on quality above quantity certainly paid off for Marcel Aelbrecht: in a period of just 4 years he was three times 1st Champion of the National Federation K.B.D.B., once 2nd Champion and had the Acepigeon Long Distance. As far as we can remember absolutely no one has ever done something like this in the history of Belgian pigeon sport, and certainly not with only 19 widowhood cocks and about 50 young birds!

It would lead us too far to describe the De Rauw-Sablon / Aelbrecht bloodline in detail in this introduction, but to give you an idea of the basic pigeons and how they are related we provide you with two handy schedules on the next pages.

Needless to say that in the same tradition of careful selection and attention to quality over quantity with which we’ve built our Janssen Arendonk reputation, we have now also stocked our breeding loft with the best De Rauw-Sablon / Marcel Aelbrecht lines available. We present our collection below and on the following pages:

‘980 Perpignan’ is an original Aelbrecht, grandson of ‘Perpignan’, 1st National Cahors Zone B and himself a grandson of the famous ‘Crack’, whose sister was the mother of the legendary ‘Bak 17’ hen. His grandmother is a daughter of ‘Limoges’ of De Rauw-Sablon. On mother’s side we find again ‘Bak 17’, ‘Perpignan’ and ‘Limoges’ in his pedigree.

‘394 Aelbrecht’ is an original Aelbrecht hen, on father’s side out of the line of ‘Marseille’ x ‘Fijn Blauw’ (one of Marcel Aelbrecht’s basic breeding pairs) and on mother’s side out of the line of the legendary ‘Bak 17’ couple.

‘305 De Rauw-Sablon’ traces his lineage on father’s side back to the father of the ‘Smallen’ and therefore back to the De Rauw-Sablon Golden Pair ‘Albert’ x ‘Paola’. His grandmother on father’s side is a sister of the 1st National Perpignan and of the 8th National Cahors. His mother is a sister of the 1st National Orange, herself a granddaughter of the 1st National La Souterraine, a daughter of the ‘Blue Ace Hen’, 1st Acepigeon Yearlings and 3rd Provincial Acepigeon Long Distance and a sister of the 6th National Cahors.

This fine hen is another original Marcel Aelbrecht. ‘533 Bak 17’ is a granddaughter of the legendary ‘Bak 17’ pair, which means we also find other legendary names, such as ‘Den Dromer’ in her pedigree. On father’s side she’s out of the line of ‘Perpignan’ x Daughter ‘Limoges’.

Page 20: Frank & August Daelemans Pigeon Catalogue 2011 2011... · Frank & August Daelemans Pigeon Catalogue 2011 Janssen - Soontjens - De Rauw-Sablon / Aelbrecht Contact us at: Hellestraat

‘Cobra II’ is a grandson of Marcel Aelbrecht’s legendary ‘Bak 17’ couple. On mother’s side he’s a grandson of ‘309’, 54th National Argenton against 17010 pigeons, 198th National La Souterraine against 13709 pigeons, etc. ‘309’ herself is a daughter of another legendary Aelbrecht couple ‘Marseille’ x ‘Fijn Blauw’. Grandfather on mother’s side of ‘Cobra II’ is ‘Cobra’ of Jef De Ridder, whose bloodline was one of the foundations of De Rauw-Sablon.

‘337 De Rauw-Sablon’ is a full sister of ‘305 De Rauw-Sablon’ on the previous page. ‘Albert’ x ‘Paola’ and ‘Crack’ in the pedigree plus a whole series of National Top Performers. What more could one want?

‘Apollo’ is the cherry on the De Rauw-Sablon / Aelbrecht cake. On father’s side he’s a son of Limoges II, father of the 1st National Acepigeon of Switzerland, and therefore a grandson of De Rauw-Sablon’s worldfamous ‘Limoges’, son of the basic pair ‘Albert’ x ‘Paola’. ‘Apollo’’s grandmother on father’s side is ‘Elastica’, daughter of superbreeder ‘Frans’, brother of the 2nd National Acepigeon Long Distance, x ‘Griezel’ of Vandenheede, a daughter of their basic pair. ‘Elastica’ was 1st Interprovincial Chateauroux and won 8 times 1st prize. On mother’s side ‘Apollo’ is a grandson of ‘Bak 17’. The best of De Rauw-Sablon and Marcel Aelbrecht combined!

‘254 Ronaldinho’ is a granddaughter of ‘Perpignan’ x 043/03 (daughter of ‘Limoges’ x ‘309’, granddaughter of ‘Albert’ x ‘Paola’ and ‘Marseille’). Her father is a halfbrother of the father of the 2nd, 5th and 7th National Acepigeon. On mother’s side she’s a granddaughter of ‘Blauwen 376’ (son of ‘Herve’ x ‘Marthe’ and father of Ronaldinho, 1st National Limoges 2006) x ‘Dorien’ (mother of Ronaldinho and also of 10th National Dax, 45th National Barcelona and 48th National Beziers).

Page 21: Frank & August Daelemans Pigeon Catalogue 2011 2011... · Frank & August Daelemans Pigeon Catalogue 2011 Janssen - Soontjens - De Rauw-Sablon / Aelbrecht Contact us at: Hellestraat

‘534 Bak 17’ is another original Aelbrecht and another grandson of ‘Bak 17’. He’s a full brother of the ‘533 Bak 17’ hen above.

‘532 Marseille’ is an original Marcel Aelbrecht hen, granddaughter on mother’s side of ‘Marseille’ x ‘Fijn Blauw’. On father’s side she’s a great-granddaughter of the same pair and therefore slightly inbred towards this famous breeding couple. Other legendary names in her pedigree are ‘Limoges’ and ‘Crack’

‘Cobra 303’ is a full brother of ‘Cobra II’ on the previous page. This means he’s a grandson of the ‘Bak 17’ couple and also of ‘309’ and therefore out of the line of ‘Marseille’ x ‘Fijn Blauw’. His grandfather is ‘Cobra’ of Jef De Ridder, whose breeding tactic was Frans Sablon’s inspiration when he built the De Rauw-Sablon bloodline.

‘360 Aelbrecht’ is once again a direct and original Marcel Aelbrecht. In his pedigree we find all of Marcel Aelbrecht’s top pigeons: ‘Bak 17’, ‘Marseille’ x ‘Fijn Blauw’, ‘Crack’. His grandmother is a sister of the 1st Provincial Argenton.

Grandfather of ‘271 Big Star’ is a full brother of the worldfamous ‘Goudklompje’, 2nd National Cahors, but in his pedigree we also find the line of ‘Smallen’. ‘271 Big Star’ is also a great-grandson of ‘Marseille’ x ‘ Fijn Blauw’ and a son of ‘Donker Bont’ (mother of 2nd Bourges against 648 pigeons and 28th Provincial Bourges). Marcel Aelbrecht’s ‘Crack’ is also present in his pedigree.

‘Goudklompje 272’ is a full brother of ‘271 Big Star’. This beautiful cock with a very nice eye is therefore also related to ‘Goudklompje’, ‘Herve’ (grandfather 1st National Limoges), ‘Smallen’, ‘Marseille’ x ‘Fijn Blauw’ and ‘Crack’ to name but a few. In fact this excellent cock, like his brother ‘271 Big Star’ traces his lineage all the way back to the legendary ‘Motta’ of Vanhee.
