Von Hagen enter- tained the Torrance Afternoon Club at her home on Qramercy avenue, Friday afternoon. Dainty refreshments were served and a delightful afternoon was enjoyed by all. Miss Mary Roberts was most un- fortunate Sunday morning, when she accidentally slashed her arm just above the el[bow with a knife, In her father's restaurant. It was necessary to take four stitches in dressing the wound. Miss Sarabell Tomklns has a po- sition, in the printing department of the Union Tool Company. Mrs. J. O. Moore, Mrs. Fred Lesslng, and Mrs. Joe Stone, were Los Angeles visitors, Tuesday. Mrs. E. O. Straub attended the funeral of Edward Miller, a friend, in Los Angelss, Tuesday.
