Dear Parents
The Grade 6 and 7 production, Persephone, which was held this week, was wonderful. Mrs Stupel and Miss Norman, along with the cast, put in hours of time in preparation, and it showed. There was music and dancing and superb acting. The costumes were impressive and we expressed our thanks to the many parents who gave of their time to help to make it so memorable. Well done to all!
Grade 6 and 7 parents are reminded to check the children’s iPads regularly for games which may have been downloaded. We have had a glut of children being caught playing games during lessons as 12 and 13 year olds find it difficult at times to resist the temptation to play. Sunflower Day is coming up on 15 September 2017. This is such a worthy cause and we encourage our students to buy and wear their topes on this day. Topes can be purchased at Pick ‘n Pay. Reddam House will be offering concussion testing at the end of 2017. Please see attached letter for more information.

REMINDER WESTLAKE EMMANUEL EDUCARE SCHOOL
We would appreciate our families assisting us in the following charity drive to assist the Westlake Emmanuel Educare
School on our doorstep. The acting principal of the school, Ms Hazel Albertus, would be most grateful if every week we
assist with the supply of white and brown sliced bread loaves. Every Tuesday this term each Grade will have a turn to
supply bread. The bread must be taken to class and will then be delivered to this deserving school. Ms Albertus then
freezes the bread to use daily until the fresh bread arrives the following week. It would be wonderful if you feel you would
like to add a container of Peanut Butter, Marmite, Jam or Anchovette. We thank you in advance for your kind assistance.
