The!purpose!of!Grand!Chapter!Congress!is!to!bring!all!chapters!across!the!nation!together!to!exchange!ideas!

and!share!experiences,!network,!and!participate!in!workshops!throughout!the!day.!The!success!of!the!event!is!

measured!through!the!amount!of!new!knowledge!each!member!in!attendance!acquires,!and!brings!back!to!

their!respective!chapters!and!universities.!!

4. Explain'how'members'of'the'organization'will'benefit'from'the'event.'

Members!will!benefit!from!this!event!by!immersing!themselves!in!the!various!workshops!and!vast!networking!

opportunities!at!the!conference.!The!workshops!ranged!from!crafting!your!perfect!bucket!list!(individual!

development),!to!investments!in!real!estate!(professional!development),!and!also!discussions!on!the!

organization’s!traditions!and!recruitment!techniques!(fraternal!development).!This!event!was!able!to!help!

each!member!grow!in!several!different!aspects.!!

Should!funding!for!the!event!be!denied,!the!members!that!attended!will!fund!their!own!airline!expenses.!

Additionally,!the!hotel!expense!would!be!self1funded!by!the!members!that!attended!and!through!the!

allocation!of!chapter!funds.!

We!have!generated!funds!so!far!through!boba!sales!on!campus,!hosting!restaurant!fundraisers,!and!the!

collection!of!membership!dues!every!semester.!Although!some!of!the!generated!profits!are!allocated!to!LEAD!

conferences!and!Grand!Chapter!Congress,!the!rest!of!the!profits!are!distributed!to!the!different!position!

holders’!budgets!and!other!chapter!events!as!well.!!

Yes,!this!event!occurs!every!two!years.!At!the!2013!Grand!Chapter!Congress,!only!two!members!from!CSUF’s!

chapter!attended.!This!year,!eight!members!attended!!!which!has!been!one!of!the!largest!groups!to!attend!in!

the!past!three!Grand!Chapter!Congresses.!Despite!workshops!changing!after!every!Grand!Chapter!Congress,!

they!still!maintain!focuses!on!individual,!professional,!or/and!fraternal!development.!!!
