we were set assignments that challenged many of the participants.

Participants were able to express opinions whilst being able to learn new theory and broadening their horizons.

We really have seen that working together as a group helps us develop some interesting work. We also have spent most of the week working together. The intercultural experience has broken down many communication barriers. Most of us are speaking English regularly and learning new words and phrases.

The Group work was enjoyed by all the participants on the course. Every day we would piece the tasks together. We would then split into smaller, more intimate groups and carry out the practical assignments before presenting our findings to the others.

The Training course was both fun and interactive. We began by agreeing on an agenda for the week and had the chance to put our input into course. This put all the participants in control of their learning for the rest of the week which was a great idea.

We each took part in activities that looked at volunteering and ways we can work together to be more visible as volunteers. This picture is an example of group performances.

The sessions were active, although many times we would have to think about our past volunteering experiences. We were given plenty of time to talk with the other participants involved and share ideas for future projects.

Role play became a widely used method of conveying elements of non-formal education. (As seen in picture) It became a great way of expressing ourselves and group members even continued to used it during free time

Romeo and Juliet! Just one of the many Energisers/ice breakers that helped to bring us closer!
