Mark your calendars! #GivingTuesday is a global day dedicated to giving back. On Tuesday, December 2, 2014, charities, families, businesses, community centers, and students around the world will come together for one common purpose: to celebrate generosity and to give. This #GivingTueasday, Positive Youth Development aims to raise the necessary funds to facilitate future 40 Developmental Asset Trainings throughout Erie County in 2015. Imagine… All children, youth, and adults are thriving and productive, creating diverse and successful communities… Through promoting the Search Institute’s 40 Developmental Assets within Erie County, Positive Youth Development has been able to activate local communities to create healthy, caring and responsible individuals. Asset trainings focus on educating community members about the 40 Developmental Assets and the ways in which the Assets help youth thrive. The trainings empower adults and youth both with the knowledge and resources to become Asset Builders within the community, to become influential in infusing the assets into the lives of young people through positive relationships and experiences. *Research consistently shows that the more assets a child possess the higher probability that child will not engage in problem behaviors such as: teen pregnancy, school dropout, substance abuse, delinquency, and violence. To date, over 900 individuals in Erie County have been trained in the 40 Developmental Assets. With your support, we can fulfill our goal to facilitate future 40 Developmental Asset trainings in 2015, allotting monies towards training expenses including: staff costs, training supplies and materials, food for training session attendees, and publicity materials. Please consider giving a gift in support of the mission this #GivingTuesday, and be a part of a global celebration of a new tradition of generosity. Mark your calendars!

#GivingTuesday is a global day dedicated to giving back. On Tuesday, December 2, 2014, charities, families, businesses, community centers, and students around the world will come together for one common purpose: to celebrate

generosity and to give.

This #GivingTueasday, Positive Youth Development aims to raise the necessary funds to facilitate future 40 Developmental Asset Trainings throughout Erie County in 2015.

Imagine… All children, youth, and adults are thriving and productive, creating diverse and successful communities…

Through promoting the Search Institute’s 40 Developmental Assets within Erie County, Positive Youth Development has been able to activate local communities to create healthy, caring and responsible individuals.
