Dear Parents, Your 7th and 8th grade Shorecrest students have the opportunity this coming summer to take a fun and educational trip to the Grand Canyon, Zion National Park, and the Havasupai Reservation with his/her classmates and with me. The trip is scheduled from 6/4/2015 to 6/11/2015. I am partnering with the travel company Grand Classroom to help plan the logistics and provide guides for our group. Grand Classroom has set up a Shorecrest trip resource webpage at http://trips.grandclassroom.com/Trip/Index/Shorecrest2015. The cost of the program is $2,749. Everything on the trip will be covered – all transportation, hotel accommodations, meals, sightseeing and evening activities as well as medical insurance. The best way to register is online at www.grandclassroom.com. We may need to limit the numbers, so register as soon as you can. The registration deadline is Friday, January 9. Grand Canyon Havasupai Adventure

Day Two • Depart for Havasu • Arrive at trailhead

for 10 mile hike into the canyon

• Arrive at the campground and set up camp

• Swim at Havasu Falls

• Games at camp • Sleep under the

stars

Day Three • Break into smaller

groups to hike, swim and explore Mooney Falls, Havasu Falls and the canyon

• Return to camp for the evening

• Sleep under the stars

Day Four • Early morning

hike out of Havasu

• Depart for Flagstaff

• Rest and pool time at hotel
